There were "things" to see at this museum, and the stories came from the staff or videos to watch. Otherwise, there was not much interaction. The museum is free, but we did not see any box trains to explore. The staff is nice and gave us information about other sights to visit in the area.

Friendly staff who gave us a short but information packed tour based on my elementary children's interests. We viewed a short video about the Crush Crash and they provided a short scavenger hunt. Good way to spend an hour or two and reflect on how technology shapes our communites.

Back in time railway was a way of travel, exporting and importing goods. It's awesome to see all the items preserved from the past.

What a great day trip. Diane Geer was the best. She took us on a complete tour. She gave us the history of this magical place. It was the hub of the KATY railroad then suddenly they sold it and shut the whole facility down. A man who lived in Denison at the time sold all his holdings, took out loans to purchase and save the depot when it was to be torn down. Diane will take you on a tour of yesterday and make you feel like it is today. She makes you feel at home and tells you the complete history in a very exciting way. This would be great for children and adults alike. Thank you Diane, the Deals

Jon's guided tour was wonderful for my elementary-aged children. There's an expansive amount of knowledge crammed into a tiny space. It seems like the level of insight offered is tailored largely to the group as even our youngest walked away having picked up on largely everything that was mentioned. Thank you for having this little gem hidden away but so easily accessed! Furthermore, it was oodles of fun to explore the old train cars outside!
