Probably my worst car rental experience and I have rented from other companies before. Like most of the reviews , the person at the front desk was rude and extremely slow. People have places to be !Even after paying a premium price and insurance , they will never have a car for you and make absurd suggestions like go to DFW or another town - LIKE SERIOUSLY !! We dont have a car , that's why we are renting maybe ? and you are asking us to take a cab and go somewhere else.This happened when I was going to pick someone up from Houston Airport. The whole process was delayed and they ended up waiting for hours after a long flight.Not to mention , the person upfront will say "I can maybe try and get you a car from Denton but you have to return it at DFW" and he would only do that if I left him a good review.Really ? Y'all an international company and you are begging customers for a good review ?! You put them in awkward situations where they have to oblige out of desperation ?Absolutely disgusting !

Don't waste your time renting here.They never have the car you book.They also close early for whatever reason so you can't return without having to call customer service

The worst customer experience here. The guy who owns this place was rude to us. He kept telling us off and behaved arrogantly. When I tried to reason with him he told me I am not talking to you.we had called a day earlier to confirm the car availability and he said yes. When we went he told us to go to dfw location for the car since he didn’t have one.There is a proper way to talk to a customer and he didn’t know and he doesn’t seem to car as well. Would never recommend anyone to go there.

I've been here twice in the last month with truck reservations, and both times the person responsible for those transactions left to run errands for the store, leaving me to wait 30+ minutes for him to return. No consideration for my time, completely apathetic to my needs. Go to uhaul and save yourself the grief.

Beware: Check your receipt! I returned the rental with a full fuel tank - photo included - & they added a fuel charge. I called Customer Care with fuel receipt & photo ready to share & they refunded the charge. There was no front counter employee on site when I arrived, cutting into my time. When the employee arrived, there was no eye contact & they did not seem to care. Question: Why add a false charge to a customer? That fuel surcharge does not show up on its own. They have to manually enter the charge. That is fraudulent activity & I truly wonder how many customers have that charge added & do not notice... It's really sad...

Please dont waste your time booking a rental here. Forget not getting a rental, you won’t even find the office open. The office was closed in the open hours with my reservation confirmed. If anyone from the budget rental management reads this please make a note of it. You just lot a customer and not only that but I will for sure not recommend anyone budget rentals because neither your offices are professional enough nor your customer representatives.If you cannot provide service please let the customers know beforehand and please don’t leave your customers hanging on road and give some stupid reasons. NOT BOOKING AT BUDGET AGAIN.

I've seen two guys work here. They have to be the biggest A** holes i have ever seen work a place of business. I have had multiple bad experiences but the straw that broke the camels back was coming to pick up my rental a couple hours early. Guy back talked me and gave me a car that hadnt been clean. It wasn't even in the lot out front it was in the cleaning area waiting to be cleaned. This place is so bad won't be using budget again.

Do not rent a car from this place! My mom's car was in the shop and she rented a standard vehicle for one day. They charged for extra mileage and one hour over 24 hour period. Basically a one hundred dollar rental turned into 200 for one day!

Horrible! Over charged me and then tried charging me twice. Worst customer service and lied about car price. I was in an emergency situation and couldn’t find another place. This place needs to just shut down. Go anywhere but here

Got me too. Should have checked the reviews prior to the rental. I too turned the truck in before the due time, clean and full of fuel. I was told they were closing when I arrived to turn the truck in and to put the keys in the drop box out front and leave the truck on the side of the building where I had parked it. I did so, and left. Then several days later I was charged for additional days on the rental.

I drove an hour and a half to drop off the truck 15 minutes before they closed and they decided to close early then told me to come back tomorrow morning. Customer service is garbage. And your hours are horrible as well. You can't call the store either. It only sends you to an out of country hotline. Do not use this company!!!

We were there to rent a moving truck for my daughter. The manager (or whom I believe) was disciplining one of his workstaff right around the corner from us and made us feel uncomfortable. He spoke down to ALL customers who came inside. I felt bad for everyone. He seems to dislike his job and life, in general. I don't think this was just a bad day, as I remembered him from many years before acting the same way. Rude.

I booked a one-way rental economy car a week in advance with a pickup scheduled at this location, 1610 W University. Upon arriving for my rental pickup, the front desk informed me that my reservation had been cancelled since this location does not allow one-way rentals. I was also informed the manager attempted to call me earlier in the day, however, I did not have any missed calls nor a voicemail. When I asked for the customer service rep at the front desk to find a solution for cancelling my reservation without any notice, he unsympathetically requested that I “try calling another location that allows one-way rentals.” After realizing this location was unwilling to do anything to remedy the problem, I left without a rental car. Pretty unbelievable and terrible customer service with awful communication. My mistake was not reading the online reviews of this specific location prior to choosing it as my pickup point.

It had been a few months since the last bad review so I thought maybe this office had gotten its act together. I was wrong to give them a chance, as it turns out. I made an online reservation for a one-way rental and the manager here refused to honor it. He said I'd need to go to DFW for a one-way rental, which turned out to be false. No apology, no contrition at all. The manager here doesn't care.I called the national number and they forwarded me to another office in Denton. The guy at this other office was able to help me just fine. He said I was the fourth person that day to come from the office I had tried first. He also said that the first office's failure to accommodate me was strange because they had more cars to spare than he had. There was no apparent reason why the first office should inconvenience me.Stay far away.
