These folks are absolutely fantastic!
Bought a used Mercedes GLC 300, understood that, in most cases service would require one of those high priced import places or an even higher priced dealership. Shortly after buying I discovered that the windshield wiper fluid reservoir was leaking, wipers weren’t working. Had done some research and determined average cost for repairing.
Ran across Calvert, read reviews and had a gut feeling this was my place. Stopped by, spoke with Daniel, he quoted $400, after advising he didn’t like working on Mercedes much but had actually had a recent customer have the same repair. $400 was less than the average cost based on my research so I was happy to schedule the service the next morning. Dropped the vehicle off to Daniel and he advised he’ll call with any updates once he identifies/confirms the issue.
To my absolute astonishment, Daniel has got to be the most honest mechanic on the face of the planet….he calls to advise that the part for my car is for some reason less expensive than the previous Mercedes he had repaired even though they happened to be the exact same year, make and model. Are you serious with me? Get out of town! The price was now around $260. He didn’t have to be honest with me, he could have been all about the profit line….
When on earth has anyone ever in the history of ever had a service provider of any kind call them to advise that their service is going to be less than originally quoted???? Holy moly, and praise God for great folks like Daniel and his shop!
I may have even teared up a bit after getting off of the phone with Daniel and after contemplating this interaction. Daniel may have very well rekindled my belief that their are still truly good people out there who do great work and who do it with a conviction in doing the right thing. Treating others as they would want to be treated!
I will shout from every roof top of the absolute blessing Calvert’s is, and we will definitely be returning customers for all of our vehicles!
Thank you Daniel for being a shining light in a world that sometimes seems a bit darker these days! You are an absolute hero!

So thankful for the people of Calvert. We had an issue that only they were able to diagnose— not even the 2 dealerships whom represent the make could figure it out. They listened. They were fair. They were honest.

I had never had an experience with Calvert Automotive until I started helping my Dad. I have taken his truck here twice. Once to fix what a dealership did and then today to help me get the AC working again. Excellent Customer Service, excellent skills and troubleshooting but the best part is they are honest and fair! After treating my Dad the way they have, they have definitely earned my business.

Honest, communication, listens, integrity, affordable...all words to describe Daniel and the team at Calvert. I've always been leery of outside shops...not the case with Calvert. He has fixed things other mechanics couldn't, honest throughout. Thank you for taking care of my 1999 LC.

Love this shop, I tend to do alot of work myself but when I need a helping hand Daniel is always there. He not only lets me know a time frame and a very inexpensive price but he constantly delivers ahead of schedule or on time. This truck has been up to this shop for different reasons but never has it gone back for the same thing twice. Highly recommend this shop for any work you need done!!!!

Great service and worked with me on my brake job. One auto repair company wanted $2000. Culverts wanted $600 and got it done in 1 day. I will recommend and come back for more quality work and great customer service.

Upstanding auto repair shop.
Daniel is more than willing to work in your best interests. I'm one of those who likes to bring my own parts. 90% of my parts are dead on. One occasion, I messed up with the wrong part. Daniel didn't just put my vehicle back together and ask for payment. Now that takes an understanding and patience. Later the next day, I delivered the correct part. Honestly 99% of the time, he has the parts you need.
Give him respect, and he will treat you with the same respect. An honest shop is hard to find. Keep up the great work Daniel!

Honest Mechanic. I've received significantly lower quotes for repairs here than for other mechanics in the area. Been coming here for some time now, after a different mechanic grossly overquoted for repairs. I saved I think around $750 by coming here one time. Quotes me before charging for repairs, and will let me know whether or not a part is needed. They don't overcharge in my experience. First place I look when I need a repair.
