This place is run by absolute crooks. There's a reason they have so many one star reviews. I dropped off the rental car with no issues, weeks later I get an email claiming that the windshield was busted with pictures showing a giant obvious crack that I would have noticed when I dropped off the car. I told them it wasn't in that condition when I dropped it off and none of the employees noted any damaged when they received the vehicle. They sent me a bill for $900 in damages I didn't do.

Had a one way reservation 2weeks before the pickup date. They called a day before and told they don’t rent for one way.very disappointing never ever again hertz. Thanks

Had an eight am reservation. No one was at the location. We were told by the dealership we might want to cancel our reservation and try Enterprise. 🤦🏻♀️ When the clerk finally arrived forty minutes late, no apology. No explanation. Heck, no greeting of any sort. Tried the 800 number. Tried the chat bot. Ugh. Their delay now has us running an hour behind bc there were so many people waiting for them to open. Oh and no free upgrade.

When I got the 2025 Trax, it did not have a full tank of gas, it was ⅞ full. Even the keychain had ⅞ circled. When I returned the car, they told me to fill it to the level I got it, which I did and even more than ⅞ but not 100% full. When I finished the rental, I got charged $12 because the tank wasn't full.

This is the worst customer service. I have made a reservation and called before heading asked them for a four wheel drive SUV they literally lied to me. They gave me a Nissan rouge saying it is 4wheel drive, but it’s actually front wheel drive. When I checked the car and noticed it is not 4wheel drive, I headed back in the office and the person left the place. After a while another person showed up he’s like take it or leave it.

I am a Gold member and I rented a mid size SUV and they gave me something less than what I paid for. This small tiny suv was nasty on the inside the vehicle had no power when Accelerating.I asked for a something else but this was the only SUV truck they had per the Representative. This will be my last time coming to rent a Car or TRUCK from here! All HERTZ CAR RENTAL DO IS LIE! I WILL PROUDLY TAKE MY MONEY ELSE WHERE GOING FORWARD BET THAT!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Denton HLE location. I booked a cargo van for December 9th, but just a few days before my scheduled pick-up, I received a call informing me that my booking was no longer valid and that they would not have a van available.
This lack of communication and poor planning left me in a difficult situation. I was forced to call an external 800 number to find a solution, only to be hung up on three times by the representative, with no resolution offered. I had to insist on a refund, which I eventually received.
This experience caused significant inconvenience, forcing me to make last-minute changes and pay more for another rental right before my trip.
Given the poor service and lack of professionalism, I do not recommend Hertz, especially the Denton HLE location. This was an incredibly frustrating and unpleasant experience.

**Hertz Car Rental Review: A Disappointing Experience**
As a Gold member, I expected a certain level of service from Hertz, but my recent experience has left me utterly frustrated and disappointed. After booking a car through their app, I arrived at the location, only to be informed that no cars were available. This was particularly shocking since I had driven half an hour specifically to pick up my rental.
What’s more infuriating is that I received no courtesy call or heads-up from the local branch about the availability issue. It’s unacceptable that a company would let a loyal customer make the trip without any prior warning.
When I approached the representative for assistance, I was met with unprofessionalism and a complete lack of willingness to help. Instead of offering solutions or checking other locations for availability, I was simply told to leave and find a car elsewhere or call customer service. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer.
This experience has made me question my loyalty to Hertz. If they can’t even provide basic support to their Gold members, what’s the point? I expected much more from a company of their stature. I would strongly advise potential customers to think twice before renting from Hertz, as their customer service seems to be as unreliable as their car availability.

Awful company. In October I reserved a minivan to travel with my elderly parent's in November. . We needed more space. The evening before pick up they call to say sorry they don’t have it for us. We were traveling to spend Thanksgiving with family. Luckily enterprise saved us and I will never again rent from Hertz.
