We had our land loan with them for over 7 years, in good standing, paid early. TX Dot was forcing us to sell 8000+ square FEET off the front of our property. Independent Bank first told us they did not want any of that money. Then they found out how much was being paid and they told us we had to pay off the loan! We owed ONLY about fifty four thousand left on the note. Our land is valued right under two million and we were "forced" to pay them off! They lied! Then they had the audacity to NOT disclose they were running our credit reports, this was done WITHOUT ANY notice or authorization! Explain WHY any bank would run a credit report on a loan that ALREADY EXISTED and in good standing! Fast forward it's been a month and a half since they have been PAID OFF and they have NOT released our deed! Email after email and they have taken no responsibility to get us the deed. I will just say this Paul R... in Denton worthless! Not much better is James P in Denton! These people has zero customer service skills! If you have a choice... find any other bank to do business with, they lie, they are lazy, they pass the buck, and as far as I am concerned unethical!

Not at all Happy about new drive-thru hours. Doing business with Independent Bank is an Inconvenience now. Krum location was accessible driving to work around 7:30 and home around 5:30 to 6 pm. No bank location on the North side of Denton, so I too may be looking for a new bank to take All 3 of my accounts. Below your rating level !!! Jerry O.

I'm so sick of this bank. The atm never works, I can't withdrawal enough at once to pay rent, and my card seems to lock once a week for "fraud" when it's just me. The only good thing about this place is one lady at another location that's always helpful with unlocking my card. Trading banks ASAP

Absurd how employees are not doing anything, customers are told to wait, as if our time isn't valuable. As long as I've been a customer and my accounts beyond unacceptable. Will be moving my business to a more Regionally focused one. Growing beyond Texas really dropped the service and care for the customer

It is okay... The ATM behaved as if to have a skimmer once. It tried to eat my card, leaving my personal details on screen. I had to call the bank.

I have been a customer of this Bank for 20 years but now that they have changed it from Northstar Bank to Independent Bank I am extremely displeased so after the first of the year I will be closing my account

Your website says you're open at 8am. But you don't open until 9am. Difficult for a new person to your bank and to the area to understand what's right.

I have banked here since 2002 and have had a FANTASTIC experience. The level of customer service has always been superior to any other bank I've done business with. One shout out to Ralph Ramsey. When I paid off my home mortgage I was running late on a Friday afternoon and couldn't make it before the lobby closed to get a cashier's check. Ralph made sure I was able to get the cashier's check (no charge) even after hours. Ralph Rocks! Another thing that is super handy is the pass through box. I deal with a lot of coin and the drive through tube can't always accommodate the weight. They gave me a key to a pass though box where I can make deposits without coming inside. If you are a small business or individual I highly recommend this bank. They are willing to go above and beyond to earn your business.

Sorry to say this bank was sold out and we have another big cooperate bank not the small people anymore who care!! You now have charges for your checking account also have a safety deposit box back from when it came with the account .Now 30.00 dollars each year.!!!!... Trying to close it and I now live 8 hrs away and they will not send paper for me to sign and allow me to send keys back.(And never did I have anything in this box) You have to come into the bank to sign papers( So I will no longer be charged the 30.00 a year.) REALLY!!!!!!!!!!
