From first online contact to hand-off of my new car…my experience was great! Melanie and Christen continued to update me on availability and explained every step of the way. Purchasing was quick and hassle-free with Don. Friends and family can’t believe it. Thank you!

From my first contact via internet through the purchase and delivery of my new 2024 GMC Sierra, Melanie Gregg provided exceptional service. Melanie communicated promptly and distinctly and the transaction was completed efficiently and completely as represented. I contacted James Wood in Denton initially because the vehicle I wanted was in stock. The purchase experience is the reason I would recommend the dealership to anyone.

Katie Wilkins kept us informed of every step of the build of our truck. She was a joy to work with. Every employee we encountered at the dealership was friendly and helpful. We will be back to James Wood to buy another vehicle in the next few months!

Horrible!Extremely disappointed with the service received. We had previously taken our Yukon for service due to a “ sensor” issue that was “ resolved”. After a few months we begin having the same issue until last week Thursday when we had to take our truck in for urgent service. Feedback we got is that our Yukon had to be “dismantled” in order to give us the appropriate diagnose. And of course , charge an absurd amount for it. With all the technology and “experienced GMC” mechanics the problem can’t be found…. This issue should have been resolved since our vehicle was brought in the first time! Just an incompetent money hungry dealership!* 10/12 Update: No James Wood Denton I definitely do not need to give you a call or will ever do! My Yukon has thankfully been fixed by an honest and experienced mechanic for a quarter of what y’all were wanting just to “ diagnose” the problem. I will never recommend this greedy dealership to buy or take in vehicles for service! People be aware !!

Matt Taylor did a great job with this purchase and trade in. He was very patient, offered helpful suggestions and saw the transaction through to successful completion. He represents both the dealership and the manufacturer(GMC) very well. He's knowledgeable about the vehicle and all the features of the vehicle and takes the time to explain all of it. Overall a very positive experience for both me and my wife. Sheldon's technology desktop for purchase documents is very cool and efficient and he does a nice job explaining things and makes the closing process efficient as well.

Buyer beware! I’m from Houston and found a truck I wanted to purchase at JW. I reached out to JW and was told to put a $500 deposit down to hold the truck. I was told that the truck was in excellent condition and I had the salesman send me pics. Going by pics the truck looked good and true to their word. I put the $500 down and after a few days drove the 300 miles up to JW in Denton with a bank draft in hand. Upon my arrival I began inspecting the vehicle and noticed that 3 of the 4 tires were original and 8 years old. 2 tires were almost bald and one was chewed up. I drove the truck and it drove horribly with excessive vibration presumable from needing 4 new tires. I now knew that this truck had not even been inspected by JW and simply listed for sale. The truck had the oil change sticker from the Ford dealership the previous owner took it to, the tires were a disaster, the truck drove horribly, the center console was cracked, and the battery terminals and bracket were corroded and rusted. How can you even sell a vehicle lawfully that is unsafe? Why didn’t JW inspect the vehicle and replace the tires, vibration issues, patch up the cracked center console, remove the rust and corrosion from the battery, make sure it was safe, etc, before selling? I informed the salesman that I was never informed of these issues and would have to spend 1,500 plus for new tires as they were not safe to drive to Houston. I was very disappointed and upset that my salesman failed to tell me about these issues. I told the salesman that the dealership needed to replace all 4 tires so I could get home safely, or take additional money off the price of the truck and I would go straight to Discount Tire myself. The arrogant used car sales manager was very bothered by this and said he’d take off 500.00 but that was it. Like really? What a slap in the face. The managers response was “sorry no one told you about the issues.” I asked the manager if he was really going to lose a sale over his failures, being the bad tires and not telling me of the problems beforehand, and he replied “Yep.” Really?! After leaving JW to come back to Houston, the salesman called and said the manager offered to replace the chewed up tire but that was it. Another slap in the face. Buyer beware!

So far I've only purchased a new car here, I'll update this review based on my service experiences once I've had one. For an idea of my experience and thoughts on the sales process here, read on.We had our vehicle choice narrowed down to three specific vehicles across three brands. Our salesperson at James Wood, Katie W, provided us with the same kind of experience we'd come to expect over the last decade. We're from the west coast originally, and buy a new vehicle about every 2 1/2 years (his and hers vehicles, driven for about 5 years each). We've bought a lot of cars over the years. Specifically - Katie worked a deal with us remotely. Phone calls. Emails. Text messages. No hassles about the communication format.Every single other dealer in Texas that we worked with was stuck in pre-2010 methods. We had a good experience with the sales team. The only criticism I will provide is their car buyer was so stingy we almost took a gamble to drive an hour to sit and negotiate with an "old school" dealer just because at least they were reasonable on our trade in. In the end we went with the bird in hand, the salesperson that had been very helpful and reasonable, and the modern approach to deal making. If we return in a couple years to replace my vehicle, I'll certainly shop my trade in more thoroughly and plan on selling it outright at the first sign of concern.Still, I do recommend this dealer if you are interested in a new purchase. We were in and out of Finance quickly, which is a big deal to us. Don in finance was great, we just have developed a distaste for that part of the process over the years. There were no issues here, though.

It was a great experience taking delivery of my Hummer EV. My salesman BJ took the time to demo the vehicle with me, show me all the features and answered all my question. Then he followed up with me to see how everything was going and if I had any additional questions or concerns.Overall a very positive experience at James Wood Auto Park.

James Wood Dealership is where you need to buy your next vehicle!I was looking for a new 2024 GMC 2500 AT4. I called the store and spoke to Michel. Prior to contacting James Wood, I reached out to about 5 different local GMC dealerships. Unfortunately, their inventory on the lot was actually in transit or already sold, despite what their websites said.I asked Michel if the AT4 listed on the website was available, and he confirmed that they are on the lot and invited me to come take a look at it. He did mention that there were a couple of other interested buyers in the same AT4 model I was considering, just to inform me so I wouldn't waste my trip up to Denton. However, I assured him that I am a serious buyer and would still be coming in.Michel didn't pressure me into buying a vehicle, and when I arrived at the dealership, I noticed other people were also looking for the AT4.I brought in two trade-in vehicles, and his team promptly appraised them. The price offered wasn't extraordinary, but it was comparable to the appraisals I received from other dealerships.Due to the current car market and high demand for the AT4, I didn't get an outstanding deal, but they made it clear that they don't engage in market adjustment markup or add dealer accessories like nitrogen air.Throughout the process, Michel and his manager were upfront, honest, professional, and very friendly. We arrived close to closing time, so we filled out our application and heard from Michel the next day that our truck was ready to go. He had the truck detailed and prepared when we arrived, so we quickly signed the papers and were on our way.Having bought and sold cars many times, I can say that this was, by far, the most pleasant dealership experience I've ever had. Michel's expertise exceeded that of any 25-30+ year veteran salespeople. He made sure we understood everything we were signing, walked us through our new vehicle, and had us in and out in no time.I will be a lifelong customer of Michel and James Wood Dealership and will refer all my friends and family there to support this family-owned dealership that stands out among others with bad customer service.

Jacob Rice was able to help my father and I find a truck for work. He was very kind and made us feel like we belonged there. The customer service we received from him and everyone else was beyond any other dealership we have visited. This experience on its own has made me want to continue doing business for many years to come. James Wood went above and beyond what I would expect from a visit at a auto dealership. I am highly satisfied with my experience and would recommend anyone interested in buying a vehicle to visit James Wood.
