while Mr. Robinson is very knowledgeable in the chrysler world, I did not return for any additional service here for several reasons: I had them return my '65 Coronet back to power steering...in the process you have to loosen, but not take off the steering column in order to remove the adapter on the lower end of the column...in the process when re tightening the upper bracket by the dash they managed to squish the power wire for my tach under the bracket. When I got the car back, they stated the tach "doesn't work"it was fine when it went in the shop?...wasnt until later when I investigated into it and found the positive wire crushed, shorting it out....secondly, big scratches were made on the driver's side tti polished ceramic coated header, right in the vicinity of the power steering work...those headers cost $1000....while my car is not the most expensive vehicle to roll in there, I have alot invested just the same...this is BASIC respect when working on these cars: You protect surrounding area things from damage while working on them.....really...what does it take to apply some tape or other protective material to AVOID tools marring other surfaces?.....and, I requested that a custom ss braided hose be made for the PS pump...not sure who came up with the measurement for it, but its waay long, has to loop way up and away circling back around from pump to box?...it was pretty costly item to be made...I've had numerous inquiries as to " why is your power steering hose so long"....I have to shrug my shoulders in disbelief too?♂️....best guess is they may have just used one that was on the shelf, or closed eyes when taking a measurement.....these issues cemented the non return for me....live and learn I say...its been a few years now, my car is now complete , it was not when it was at Robinsons...interior, all outside trim, etc was not finished...also now has the second hood, satin black with functional 64-65 super stock hemi scoop ?

Took it there to do a restoration on a 67 continental. What I wanted was just too expensive through them, over 100k. I had them price out doing just a FI conversion and some cosmetic work as well as bring the stereo up to the times. They said 5k for the FI and couldn’t quote the other two as parts weren’t available for pricing. They sent me an invoice for 10k to start work. I’m not in the habit of giving away money so I told them absolutely not. They held the car for a couple of months while I found somewhere to keep it (I paid for storage). I finally got the car back. When I dropped it off, it fired up every time without fail. Now it will turn over 1/10 times.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have used 3 different auto shops and this by far has been the best. Their workmanship surpasses those that I have used in the past. They are professional, respectful, and will answer any questions you have on the work being completed. Highly recommend these guys for any work you have on your vehicle.Services: Engine repair

This shop is fantastic at diagnosing real issues with any classic vehicle. These guys really know their stuff and do great work. They can be pricey at times but I'd rather pay a little more and get it right the first time. They also stand behind their work. I would recommend anytime.

Are you looking for the best and most reliable classic vehicle work in DFW? Look no further than this outfit...I can't say enough good things about these guys. Not only do they follow through with their commitments and do quality work, but when an issue arises, they own up to it and resolve the problem (even if they caused the problem which is extremely rare). I'm very happy to call this home to my 61 Lincoln Continental and call them friends. Thank you to the guys and to Boris and Tracey for having such high integrity and moral character...a quality that is significantly lacking in other shops.

The best restoration shop we've ever been to! We were able to drive 1300 miles to Orange Beach & back without any problems or a single drip due to ya'lls dedication on finding the problems!

This is THE BEST classic car restoration place we've ever taken our car to. In the last 8 years we've taken our 1969 convertible Chevelle to Mid-Cities Classics, Scott's Rods & Carr's Corvettes. They would keep it for 6-8 months each. Charged us 20k+ & say that's the best it will do. Tried again here & THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM! Fixed it in about 2 weeks for around $2k. It rides & drives like a new car. We can go as fast as we want on the highway without any vibration. BTW the review about not returning calls was during a time they were going thru a business & personal tragedy. We've never had an issue with contact. Much better than the 3 shops I mentioned before.

Had some work done on my 72 pick up. Robinson got it inspection ready and then some. It was a great experience. They kept me updated every step of the way....

It seems like Robinson Restoration is supposed to be a good business according to their various online reviews (more than just yelp reviews). They get 1 start because the two times I've called the person on the phone has been very friendly but that is where the good things end. I have been promised that I will be contacted back by someone to discuss work I need done on my classic vehicle, HOWEVER no one ever calls me back. The last time I called I even asked the girl on the phone to promise me she would make sure I was contacted back. They failed again. It is sad how very often I try to give my money to a business or to someone to do their job and they just don't seem to be interested. I guess they have too much money as it is and depositing more in the bank is just too much of a burden for them hahahaha. Robinson Restoration is just another business to add to the list of places that simply doesn't want your business so don't waste your time with them. Instead use your precious time to find someone who will actually work for you and will do a good job. Best of luck with your classic auto repair hunt!
