Andrew and company are a group of honest, hardworking mechanics that will go the extra mile to ensure an excellent repair of your vehicle. Their quotes have always been consistent with the final cost and I especially love how they take the time to educate you on your vehicle's issues and the repair process. Couldn't recommend this garage enough!

I took my car in because the ac was blowing hot air. They told me my radiator, compressor etc was messed up and it would be $3500 to replace. I immediately knew they were full of it and took it somewhere else. Turns out i just needed a new ac hose and i was only charged $500.Wouldn’t recommendService: Auto engine diagnostic

Took my car in for a second time since my car just died out of nowhere. First time they were nice and fixed my car without any problems. This time around they had to replace the whole fuse box and put a cable from my battery to my started that was never there in order to get it fixed. From that, my horn does not work nor does my cruise control work anymore, after less than a month it broke down again; I can’t start it anymore. Very unpleased with their work for something that I had to pay $1,900 and not have my car for 2 weeks.Services: Electrical

Honest experience today! Told the old lady there was a squeaky noise when I pushed the break, and I was traveling far with my grandkids, wanted the break sound to be fixed. She said it will take 45 min to let me know what going on with the break sound. I waited for wait 2 hrs thinking the mechanics are taking a look at break. After two hours she hands me a bill of 120 dollars telling me it’s for diagnostics, and that repair is needed for other stuff and squeaky sound on break. When I told her I have already told her what the problem was and also that she never told me about a diagnostic being performed on the whole car, or the price, she just handed me the bill telling me “ it was 120 dollars I lowers it to 100”, After politely telling her this is not right, and that I already told her what the problem was and the whole time was into into believing that the break was getting looked and worked upon, she lowered the price to 80 dollars saying it for the labor, and let me go.I was very disappointed with his experience. I have been to this place in the past I have been helped by a person named TJ, who explains what needs to be done on the car honestly, and always discuss the price before starting anything.Very disappointed with todays experience!!!It’s not about money, it’s about honesty and good service.

I've been dealing with strands since 2002 since I bought my vehicle it has been a wonderful experience as long as TJ was there he knows me firsthand I made an appointment the 28th of July because I was driving in from Oklahoma and now I get here and they don't have a record of it so not only did I drive 3 1/2 hours I have a hotel room for 3 days and TJ is nowhere to be found I understand now he runs body shop so they just threw me out cold like it was nobody's business AC repair replacement is about 2500 dollars a brake job will run about $500 and shocks either or that's another at least a thousand or more not including the labor so they've turned this repair out to the street like I WAS TRASH like I was nothing I have dealt with TJ for 22 years and the way I'm being treated today by his staff at BOTH body shop and Automotive is very heartbreaking TJ cannot be found they won't let me speak to him so needless to say I will never ever be coming back to Texas ever again it is very heartbreaking to know they treated a long-term customer like thisTJ this is very highly upsetting I hope you read this and you do know who I am and I never thought I would have ever been treated like this through you I had about $6000.00 worth of repairs today I made plans to stay in town in a hotel room for 3 days.When the owner gets this text review I sure hope he reads it and realizes I have been a long-term customer for years not often but when my truck needed something I came here it's completely uncalled for the way this went down this AM and the woman at the desk at strands Automotive States she's the executive assistant to TJ and the way she talked to me she was like a damn hound dog disrespectful started yelling at me not listening to what I was trying to tell her so whoever the guy was that answer the phone when I talked to him on the 28th of July dropped the ball that's where it started on a different note the guy who came out from Body Shop to look at my vehicle just no enthusiasm no manners just blah like he didn't want to be there tells me my parts been discontinued it's funny I can get that part in Lawton Oklahoma and Midwest City but I can't get it here in Texas seriously I already looked that up does he think I'm an idiot my opinion from my visual on his appearance and his attitude and his body demeanor he didn't want to do a damn thing I actually have the ticket for that but he's printed out to me and he tells me he's going to get it apart take my vehicle apart and then he tells me he can't get the part it's been discontinued the name on The Body Shop ticket is Steven Reinhardt tell me the parts discontinued but he wants to charge me $195 to take it out Walmart has a body shop take apart out that he just said is discontinued does he honestly think that a customer's that ignorant International at somebody take apart off hear the vehicle up to get it out when he just said that the parts not available what kind of people are you running here you know when I came here I've always dealt with TJ and nobody else and I guess this will be the last time I come down here because TJ is nowhere to be found body shop or Automotive it doesn't matter I've asked to talk to him numerous times before I came down but the sad part is I'm out 148.00 for a room 3 1/2 hours of driving fuel in time strength has always had a good rating on business characteristics politeness speed advancement towards their customers politeness accuracy is always the reason I came back but now that TJ is gone and I make this 3 and 1/2 hour trip not to mention the mileage and the time like I said Pryor and the cost of a room I'll never come back ever again TJ it was nice knowing you but this company now is bound to fail sometime or another because of their rudeness towards me unbelievable I will be sending to this Better Business Bureau and I hope and pray that the only reason because if this is how you operate now will have a serious problem and I

It has taken me a while since my experience with them to write this. I will start out by saying, I will not return. I was quoted a price for an engine replacement labor only, I found an engine for them to install, was told 14 days after they got the engine, turned out to be 9 weeks, and was far more problems than expected.One, they removed the radiator to pull the engine, but not the condenser coils, they smashed them, but told me they were already damaged, which I knew was a blatant lie, but I paid for the new coil anyway. They broke the dipstick, which is fairly understandable on a 2004 engine, but didn't bother to tell me about it until I went up there to find out if I would ever see my truck again. I found them a couple of new ones and brought up there, but neither of them, they said would work. They also damaged my transmission wiring, and I had to pay for new parts for that too.I got a different story from the lady who answered the phones, than from Andrew about various things, so I knew at that point, I was screwed. Accidents in the shop are common, but to lie about them and charge the customer is certainly not a good approach.Finally, the day I went to pick it up, I was told that the wheel bearing was really bad. Now, had they called and told me this, I could have had them fix that while they had it in the shop, but not a word until after I paid and was about to leave. Yes, the bearing was quite bad, and in fact, should not have been driven at all, but I guess once you have pocketed the cash from someone you just royally screwed over, you do all you can to get them out of the way.Price agreed on was $1,308 plus oil and such as needed for the engine replacement, total bill was over $2,500, and not once, did they tell me how much it was going to be over the original price until I went to pay.Highly sick at the lack of pride this place has, and no desire to earn a good review, but I guess I have truly learned my lesson about them as a business in my community. They try to talk a good game, but as someone who knows about rebuilding engines, but currently unable to due to age and a surgery, I am completely disgusted in the lack of professionalism, communication or customer service in Strandes.Added after a year:About 6 months out, started getting a misfire on cylinder 4 (pretty common in my truck) but drove it still. I replaced the coil pack, no improvements, replaced the fuel injectors, no improvements, so took to a better rated shop only to find out, the plugs and wires were old. I paid strandes for the new parts, but they used my old ones. No telling what else they cheated me on. I only have 1,300 miles on this new engine, and have hardly been able to use it due to their lack of professionalism and integrity.Maybe for some jobs that can be done same day, they may do OK, but for anything past ture repair (which I would not trust them with that either) this place is terrible

Here is the honest review. Service is terrible (when you're planning to save money, think twice). Let's see why. Just to make it fair, I was using my parts (based on serial numbers they provided me with). But, seems like they do not know those exact serial numbers (so we played a game of guessing the right part number for a while, by waisting my time and money). Secondly, they destroyed my car key (by dropping into oil. I was told like that. Simple answer for damage that cost on average $400-$500. That's how much the original cost of the key to my car). What they've done to fix an issue with the key. They reprogrammed a new key without my permission (1st degree violation. Still think if I should sue them for that). After spending a few thousands dollars (car is still not fixed). Now, they do not give me chance to speak with the mechanic who was assigned to fix my car, by saying you have to email him (I'm sorry, that person told me to call him directly if the problem is still there). BTW, when they say, to fix the car will take 4 days, please be ready to multiply that number for at least by 2 or even 3. No expectation to stick with schedule. that's what I'm saying. And yea, they were threatening to call the cops because I was refusing to pay for a service, where I was saying they should pay me for all those circumstances (so, I told them, once the car is fixed I'll pay). They were angry, and forced me to pay for service that was not completed (a few thousands dollars, repeating. And it was my mistake to do so. Would prefer to talk to cops instead). After the payment is made, they stopped providing me service I've paid for. So, if you feel this is the right place to save money, then good luck on your journey. Hope it worth it. Learned my lesson, hope you're learn yours from this life experience.

SUPER helpful, friendly guys. Andrew is the best. My daughter’s headlight had wiggled out of place and he fixed it on a busy Friday afternoon when they were fully booked in 10 minutes. I will absolutely use this family-owned garage again. A rarity these days, to find kind, helpful, honest folks in any field, but particularly in the automotive world. Thanks, Andrew! They used to be good, but they are not up to par anymore. I am looking to bring it for the third time to get it fixed for the same issue (all new parts). They are not reliable unfortunately and not very helpful either since every time I bring it back for repairs they put me back in the normal waiting que, which now is about 2 weeks. They should prioritize the cars where it is their fault.

This is the best mechanic I have ever been to. They have helped me with every car issues I have had. They know me like me so well, and we have pretty much become family :). If I have a problem after they don’t hesitate to fix it, and make it right. I highly recommend this place and when you go ask for Andrew, he is the best manager I have come across. He will for sure get you taking care of. They need more than 5 stars, they need 10. :)Services: Auto maintenance

Wish I could give no stars, they charged $6,000 for replacing head gaskets, rear main seals, and a bunch of other seals. What they actually did was put RTV silicone in places it shouldn't be. Missing bolts, snapped off bolts. They are a COMPLETE RIP OFF.
