“I shopped here for a nice leather jacket (still in great condition) and got it for a STEAL. This piece of clothing will work great for a film I am working on - I enjoyed the wide variety they had.”
“I think this is one of the best resale stores in the area. Variety and quality can typically be counted on with every purchase. AND the proceeds go to building homes for Habitat for Humanity. That gives low income folks an opportunity to purchase a home they can afford with sweat equity and affordable payments.”
“My favorite thrift store! Upscale is FULL of great finds at good prices!!! I have gotten SO MANY THINGS there for years now!!! The place is smaller then the others around town but I like that because I don’t get overwhelmed. They have already narrowed all the good stuff down for you. Plus, the profits benefit Denton County Friends of the Family. This program is so good because it not only helps the battered but also provides help for the batterer too. Thank you for serving our community Upscale/DCFoF I posted some pictures of cute stuff I’ve gotten there. Lots of name brand stuff! And fun things to put together for great gifts!”
“I love this store! Today was my first time coming here (over Plato's Closet at my daughter's insistence) and I was selling items. The process is so easy, and quick! The employees were extremely nice and patient! I also LOVE the stuff they have for sale! And affordable prices too! I highly recommend Uptown Cheapskate!???”
“8-24-24
I stopped by an they were having 50% off everything in the store with the exception of gold an silver. They are very reasonable on prices. They have a really nice selection of many items through out the store. It's like a step up from goodwill an a great staff with a clean store. There's only one dressing room so if it's busy you have to wait.
They have a great selection of pretty much everything between the furniture on one side an everything else on the other side.
I've found quite a few really awesome things an a must stop whenever in the area.”
“I decided to stop here while running errands and I'm glad I did. I was blessed with some awesome finds today. I found a Wilton football shaped cake pan that can retail upwards of $19 but priced at $3.29. My greatest find: a "bag" containing 5 wine openers priced at $5.49. Just one alone is retails for $25 brand new. I also found 2 Wilton dozen count donut pans for $3.29 each.”
“This is one of the nicer and cleaner resale stores in Denton. They have a good variety of clothing, household, children's items, shoes and jewelry. The pricing is fair and things they sell are in good condition. They also have dressing rooms so you can try on your items before you buy. They have a daily discount like one for seniors, one for first responders etc. They seem to run over their inventory frequently so you're not seeing the same old things every time you go. It's a fun place to shop around and see what you can find.”
“Buyer Beware. I'll start with all the positives: very clean, well organized and many brand name items- some new with tags and very reasonable prices. Now the bad: They don't staff their fitting rooms for the entire time they're open. So you can't try things on, and that matters because there's a NO RETURNS policy. So you can't try it on and you can't return it. Additionally, most people working here aren't fluent in English, so getting assistance can be little difficult.”
“People leaving bad reviews truly aren’t thrift people at heart… if you’re a thrifter - this is the place! I go here at least 3 or more times a month and I ALWAYS leave with something. Whether it’s clothes, decor, books, etc.
It takes time & patience to sort through the clothes, but if you’re a thrift person, you know it’s a tedious hobby! If you haven’t been here, check it out!”
“Rating drop off only - the cones are confusing on how to drop off, and had to go inside for assist with unloading. The flow of drop off lane in the previous location was much better. Hoping they make improvements to this new location soon.
UPDATE 10.13.2025
(2 STAR TO 5 STAR)
They fixed the cone layout, put in a pressure drive thur bell, and have very kind drop off staff that helps you unload. Don't forget to scan the QR code on the easel poster for your electronic receipt.”
“Very clean thrift store. It is a nice place and the clothes are very affordable. And everything you buy it says on the tag what charity the profits go to. I got two pairs of leggings, one is donating to the PTA of a school (HEB ISD PTA Assn) the other one goes to something called awareness project”
