I love taking all 4 of my pets to see Dr. Mark. All the staff are friendly and gentle with my cats and dogs. Dr. Mark did not give up when my cat had diarrhea for 10 months. He gave us different suggestions that we tried until we finally solved the problem. I don’t know how they compare in cost to other places but prices seem reasonable.

Very caring vet and staff. They definitely are about the pet, not the money like a lot of vets I've unfortunately dealt with in the past.

Dr. Mark and his staff are concise, helpful and make goin to the vet easy. Brought in a horse on time to our appointment, he saw us right away, got a diagnosis, the techs got everything done, we shook hands, I checked out and we were back on the road in 30. Not every appointment can go like that but I appreciate when that can be the scenario, that’s how it goes.

Best vet I've used in the area. Very reasonable, caring, and I would recommend to anyone! Easy to get an appointment, the staff is very professional and kind. I've been coming here for years, and always feel like my concerns and questions are welcomed.

A friend recommended them. They really should update there information they do not take new patients so people don't waste time calling here to see if the Vet would even want to see your pet. Just a very odd conversation I had with the person who answered the phone. I did find another vet so I don't recommend them for this reason.

This place was my Green Cheek Conure's vet for the past year (he is still a baby, just turned 1). He has gone in two times for visits, once for a check up and once for a seizure issue. Yesterday, my girlfriend noticed he was acting very lethargic and then threw up a clear discharge. After this, my girlfriend instantly called and asked if she could bring our bird in asap. The receptionist told her they were completely booked and to call some other places. While she was calling, our birds condition deteriorated very quickly over the next 2 hours, he was very weak and wasn't able to stand on a perch anymore. He was also refusing to eat or drink. Every vet my girlfriend called "completely booked" and my girlfriend called Westgate back sobbing, begging them to just take five minutes to see what the issue was. Still got the "we are very sorry, we are booked and can't help." She even asked if they could just give her advice based on the symptoms so we could see if there was any proactive steps we could take at home while we searched for a different place, they replied "sorry can't give any advice unless there is an examination." I was about to leave work and drive with her 2+ hours to the nearest bird hospital in San Antonio, before we were lucky enough to find an amazing avian vet in Pflugerville (VCA hometown animal hospital) that was also 'completely booked' but cares enough about animals to make time to save our bird. My girlfriend drove our little guy there and he was hardly able to stay awake. Once arriving to VCA, they immediately took him back and gave him oxygen to stabilize his condition. Two hours later he was finally stable enough to x-ray and administer antibiotics. Today he is still a bit sleepy, but is recovering rapidly. If it wasn't for the amazing people at VCA I am not confident our feathered baby would be with us today. I am extremely disgusted that the staff working at Westgate can listen to a young woman cry and plead for their help to save a baby bird and reply with "sorry nothing we can do." Well at least this whole terrifying experience showed us a place that truly cares about the animals and that is where we will be taking our business moving forward.
