Hours: Wild Rescue is a nonprofit that helps educate people on how to be stewards of wildlife and provides hands-on triage care for local creatures big and small. The rescue offers public education and community outreach, equipping people with the knowledge to protect animals like cottontails and bunny nests. When an injured animal is found, from birds to squirrels to tortoises, the rescue provides immediate instructions, takes in the creatures, and provides care through an experienced and devoted rehabber. This rehabber has been doing this important work for over 30 years. The kindness, wisdom, and experience of the rehabber are an invaluable asset to the community, saving the lives of vulnerable animals. The rescue operates with great heart and devotion, providing wonderful and very helpful service. The strength and kindness it takes to devote a life to this righteous calling reminds the community of the good helpers in the world.
