There is a management issue at Gillette AutomotiveThe mechanics do really good work, which was the core decision for me to go to them again… I was really impressed with the professionalism and the ability to talk to the mechanics about whatever that needed to be done…but things go wrong and I see that but when the manager doesn't try to correct it or what have you it becomes managements problem.It doesn't help things when the supervisor/manager/owner (IDK)…. doesn't allow you to get a word in edgewise. She talks 100 miles an hour, and when you call for the status of your truck, she sounds indignant and is short with you. I never did really get a clear picture as to what they did or did not do but I didn't say anything because things happen behind the scenes, so I'm real patient on these issues when they come up.................Until the point I called exactly 2 weeks later and they haven’t even touched one iota of the list that I wanted to be done and estimated…They were so caught up in trying to find an estimate on one thing they forgot the simple things to do such as: radiator flush, oil change, fuel filter, and wiring up a trailer brake harness on diesel truck, mind you these are supplies that I brought in just to do these projects. These are very simple things for mechanics to do, and could've been knocked out in 1-2 days…I lost 2 weeks productivity without my truck…. I have never experienced that in a garage in my 35 to 40 years of dealing with auto repair.Needless to say I was very frustrated when I went up there and once again she kept talking, and I couldn't respond to her. I know I’m a slow thinker and I was just frustrated that I couldn't get my words out along with the fact that she brought all the mechanics in to guard her… I was taken aback by that because I'm not a violent man I want to resolve issues, I don't want to fight…The fact that they had a plan together and was waiting on me, tells me that this is not the first time this is happened…I have never had that happen to me in my life…Needless to say I've lost trust with the management and I'm not going to return to them unless management changes hands or something because you cannot be a customer and not be listened to especially when you were prepared to drop $2500-$3500 to get things done. They lost out on a big ticket and a good customer…It also pains me because I really wanted to use those guys to work on my truck because they do really good work……Maybe later Idk……….

I have been using Gillette Automotive periodically for over13 years. But several months ago I had it looked at due to smoking at times during start ups and Rear shocks were replaced. Well I pick up at night when I return back to town. The key was left in a lock box. The Front end right in front of hood had adeep 4 inch scratch. I had a paint job about a month earlier. Then to add to the troubles one of my lug nuts Had been left off when I went to have the tires replace. And the other 4 lugs were loose. Only reason the tire didn't come off is because the car was at the dealership getting motor replace after Gillette couldn't find anything wrong. Clean mass air flow sensor and install back on vehicle. Oh well one less customer they want have to deal with anymore!!

My truck was taken in that had coolant leak. They replaced a couple hoses and charged $500.00 but did not replace radiator or other leaks. Very bad experience with them. Would never use againService: Auto maintenance

They charged me $10.00 to change my license’s plates. Pathetic. I should’ve went to the dealership but didnt have time . I had a flight to catch. They want every labor penny. I could’ve bought a power drill myself and put it on myself.

Great place for auto work when you can't get the work done yourself. They are good folks doing great work. Not the cheapest, but cheap work doesn't get it when it needs to be right.

Very pleased with Gillette Automotive Service! I went to my regular place to get an inspection yesterday and I was so disappointed when they sent me away because they were understaffed and weren't doing inspections. I did a quick search and Gillette showed up. I went and they were so friendly and accommodating. I was seen immediately and had pleasant conversation while I waited. I was in and out in no time. Great experience. The owner was very accommodating and I was in and out in no time. I needed an inspection and my usual place was unable to see me. When I went here as a walk in, I was seen immediately. I highly recommend and I will go back to them in the future.

I took my daughters car here for repairs & a state inspection and I'm beyond satisfied. I will more than likely use this shop for future repairs on my pickup truck. Very nice and courteous people.
