Stop to visit PO #328 in Detroit TX. This is a nice open Post Office with big window in the front. The people here do a great job in taking care of the place. From what I understand the town was first call Bennett. Then in 1887 J. M. Stephens, the local railway agent, renamed the town Detroit for his former home in Michigan.

This is the Detroit Post Office. Some customers say, not deep but dedicated. If we lived just a couple of miles east we'd be on a Detroit mail carrier route. This building's been here for quite some time but it's still pretty snappy inside. It has PO Boxes. It has customer service desk. It's well kept & the carriers are constant.
