We drive a straight truck. We were heading out on our first cruise out of Galveston. Everything was planned well in advance. When we arrived at our parking destination, we weren't comfortable leaving our baby in an outdoor parking spot, especially after hearing reports of break-ins. We thought that was it, our trip was over. That is until we spoke with Russell at Boat City Storage. Upon explaining our special situation, and having a space available, Russell made accommodations, worked us in, and saved our trip.
Boat City Storage in La Marque, TX is fully enclosed, gated, is in a very nice location, and is reasonably priced. Next time we need to store our equipment, we will certainly be calling Russell. Attention fellow citizens,
I feel compelled to share my recent experience with a local storage facility as a cautionary tale. In the interest of transparency and community awareness, I must advise you to steer clear of this establishment.
For several months, I leased two storage units at this facility, paying a hefty sum of $350 monthly. Recently, my boyfriend and I encountered a distressing situation that spiraled out of control due to the actions of the storage facility owner, who provided my personal information and the local law enforcement who had no evidence connecting us to any crime .
Despite being law-abiding citizens, we found ourselves ensnared in a web of false accusations and unjust treatment. While attempting to retrieve our belongings and tend to our responsibilities, we were accosted by police officers who accused us of a crime we did not commit—stealing an RV.
Despite providing evidence of our legitimate lease, vehicle we just got running, and NOT matching the truck in the video and our cooperation with authorities, I was unjustly detained for driving with an expired license, on PRIVATE property, leaving my beloved dogs stranded at an airbnb and causing undue distress to my family.
Subsequent interrogation and surveillance footage only served to compound the injustice, my unjust jail time lead to the loss of my job due to a no call no show and severe disruption to my livelihood. Furthermore, our possessions, including a U-Haul full of belongings and our vehicle, were inexplicably towed from the premises, and attempts to reclaim them have been met with silence and indifference.
This ordeal has left me disillusioned and bereft, highlighting the need for accountability and transparency within our community. I implore you, my fellow citizens, to exercise caution and discretion when patronizing this establishment. Your safety and well-being may depend on it.
