Cool Spot. Great Music, relaxed atmosphere. What more can you ask for a Thursday night out with friends.

Hudson's on Mercer is your quintessential neighborhood bar – neither exceptional nor disappointing. If you're looking for a spot to catch a football game, it does the job, but it won't wow you. Hence, it comfortably earns its 4 out of 5 stars. One of Hudson's redeeming features is its willingness to broadcast sports events. It's an average bar for watching football; the screens are decent-sized, and they make an effort to create a game-day atmosphere. If you're with friends who love sports, it's a decent choice.Live music is another facet of Hudson's charm. It adds a bit of pizzazz to the otherwise laid-back atmosphere. While the tunes are enjoyable, they can get a tad loud, making conversation a challenge. One drawback is the lighting – it's way too dark. Perhaps they're aiming for a cozy ambiance, but it often feels like you need a flashlight to read the menu. It's an odd choice, considering it's primarily a sports bar. When it comes to drinks and food, Hudson's plays it safe. The menu offers the usual suspects without any particularly unique options. However, they execute these staples well, ensuring you won't leave disappointed. In a nutshell, Hudson's on Mercer is a reliable but unexceptional bar. It won't stand out in a city teeming with nightlife options, but it's not a place you'd regret visiting either. If you're looking for a no-frills spot to unwind with friends and catch a game or enjoy some live music, Hudson's fits the bill perfectly. Hence, the 4-star rating – it's nothing special, but it's far from a letdown.

Cool little bar with a dance floor and outdoor area. Live music was a great sounding acoustic/bass duo that hit those notes in two part...Beer selection coulda been a little deeper. Ill be back.

$600% mark up on draft beer. Most expensive place to drink in town.

I got a chance to check out Hudson's during the Dripping Springs Founders Day festival. This is a nice venue with a small dance floor. Apparently there is live music pretty often and the performer today was very good. Hudson's is worth a return visit when the crush of a huge crowd doesn't make enjoying the place more challenging.

Hudson's is simple.... It's all about the music!! From the professional lighting and sound to the top shelf musicians that frequent the stage, you are very likely to have an epic time!! I recommend going on a Thursday night to see the Allstar Jam Band. The owners Chad and Natasha are legit superstars and front the Allstars, you will feel like you are at a concert not a watering hole!!! Grab a local beer or a glass of wine (no hard alcohol, which I prefer) , eat some yummy pub food and strap in for the show Also, it's a community of supportive and awesome folks that really make you feel welcome, if you decide to become one of the regulars. When the whole lockdown crazy thing happened I decided to chase a childhood dream of performing music, so I started to get after it. 18 months ago we moved to Dripping Springs and I rolled in there to do Karaoke on a Wednesday, which was great! Then I tried open mic on Thursdays at 6:30pm before the Allstar Jam band goes up. I realized I need a lot of work if I want to be a decent performer so I started taking lessons at the Hudson's school of music. Today I have a band that is playing all over the Hillcountry and Austin called "Deadbolt ATX". We just headlined this past Saturday at Hudson's to a packed house! And, basically all of my friendships, community etc. are a direct result of becoming a regular. Whether you just want to hear some great music, get lessons for your kids or yourself or get to know some good folks from our fantastic little town, Hudson's ROCKS!!

This place is a lot of fun. Fantastic, live music, friendly employees and fun, classic country style atmosphere. When we were there, people were dancing and having a a great time, it was very fun. We also ordered food and it was very tastey, good fries and burgers and nice that's it's in the cute little, downtown area of Dripping Springs.

Didn’t eat but looked like regular pub food. Drink prices are high. Karaoke was fun. The KJ could be a little more excited and energetic.

The best place in the entire Austin area to go and have an enjoyable evening. The owners and staff are the best there is hands down. If you have not been there then you are missing out.
