Since Texas data sold to nextlink late 2022 the system has been having multiple problems, it seems weekly if not daily we have issues. We used to have a person on speed dial that worked there and now he doesn’t return our calls or doesn’t know if he still works there. The payments have been all over the place since we gave our CC information they have been on our old card and it took them a few months after multiple calls and attempts to get it straight.I wish we have a different service in our area. Seems Texas Data sold us out to a cheaper company with unresponsive staff.

Have to admit I'm puzzled by some other reviews, and I wonder if they are confusing Texas Data with another company with a similar name. I've been a Texas Data customer for about six or seven years and have received, without question, the best customer service I've ever received from any company in any industry. Speeds are similar to what I might get through other high-speed options. Just did a speed test and got 15.00 Mbps upload. I could probably get service for less than I'm paying (about $85/month) but there is no way I'm letting one of the giants botch my Internet. I've been down that road. If you want real reviews of Texas Data, join a Dripping Springs or Bee Cave Facebook group and ask there. I can't recall EVER seeing a negative review about Texas Data in those groups.

First, I'll start with their marketing. They say "We provide high-speed internet access to businesses and residents not served by broadband services such as cable or DSL," and according to the definition of high-speed internet, that should be 25 Mbps. They don't offer that. Their max is 10 Mbps, which is less than half of high-speed internet. Satellite service offers better download speed than that, to put it in perspective. Also, Texasdata has abysmal upload speeds as well, maxing at 2 Mbps. Again, not high-speed. Now, if the speeds and false advertising aren't enough to turn you away, their price charts are confusing as all get out. They offer 1 Mbps per $50.00 paid per month. So, lets say you want 10 Mbps internet, the cost would come out to a whopping $500.00 a month. Why their price chart is so out of date, or why the even have the Kbps options still listed, I cannot tell you, but I guarantee no one signs up for it based on the prices they have listed. Thankfully, that's not the case, as I currently am using Texasdata at 10 Mbps, and it's only $200 a month. In other words, its approximately four times the cost of a broadband or DSL connection provided by Spectrum or AT&T for approximately a twentieth of the speed. Oh, but it gets worse. With broadband and DSL, about the only thing that interrupts your network usage is scheduled service or a natural disaster. Not the case with Texasdata and their wireless network. You need 10 Mbps right now to do work during a quarantine? Good luck, your speeds will drop to 0.3 Mbps without warning and with no scheduled maintenance going on. Rain starts falling or wind blows a little to hard? Oops, your wireless connectors are blown out of place and you have to wait three or four days for someone to come out and fix it. Oh, and their big selling point is no data caps and low latency connection, except low latency is about 100-200 milliseconds, which, if anyone is a gamer in your household, is not worth trying to use for a high speed, reaction based game. And I mean, at this point, you might as well go with satellite internet, because it offers 300 millisecond latency, but a lot more download and upload than Texasdata does. Unless you absolutely, positively cannot live without instantaneous connection, go with someone else. It is not worth pulling your hair out every time you cannot connect to the internet, restarting your router every three hours hoping it gets better, or calling an office with only two people who answer the phone and one service truck repeatedly to try and get it fixed.

Yes download speeds aren’t great for the money compared to urban areas but other than a below average download speed (decent for rural areas) I find this isp to be amazing and very helpful. I’ve been gaming since I can remember and have been with this isp for almost half of that time and the only negative in my opinion is the download speed, which again is excellent for where I live deep in the hill country...

Quite possibly one of the worst rural internet providers. Download speeds are horrendous and uncomparable. Average ping to game servers is about 150-200 ping which almost feels like a disablility when it comes to high speed games

I lose my internet connection all the time. I have called and left voicemails multiple times and no one ever calls me back no one. Maybe they need to hire more staff to assist with callers who call in to get help.

No internet in over a week. No response for a call, no update, no more! Guess I will start looking for another provider!
