Sowell Beach is a really nice get-a-way. Multiple times, my son and I have been the only people around. I'm talking hours with the place to ourselves.
When other people are there, everyone seems quiet and respectful.
It's a little bit of a walk to the beach, and you've got to walk a path through some tall grass when the water level is down, but it's worth it every time.
Playground: The playground is really nice and well-covered!
Toilets: You can tell the restrooms don't see much use (crickets and other bugs are in there since it's not a sealed building), but the showers are great and make a huge difference in the comfort of the ride home.
Dog-friendliness: We bring our dog, and she has a great time running, playing fetch, and swimming.
Picnic area: Multiple shaded picnic areas all with a great view of the lake. I imagine when the water is up to normal levels, they're practically on the beach.

Lake is lowest that my family and I have ever seen but proctor lake is a beautiful place to go see and enjoy

Pretty lake. The COE Campground is very nice. Cell service: Limited Verizon, ATT and T-mobile much better signal.
