Our room had a leaky toilet…. I had to put towels all over the floor because I didn’t want my kids to slip good thing we had our own towels to shower…. Maintenance went by but just wanted to check on leak but never came back!! The cleaning ladies were very helpful with towels and all ?Walkability: Walmart is just across the street ❤️Food & drinks: My kids Lived the breakfast which makes me happy! And the fact that we had a late night coffee was amazing for them and myself ?Noteworthy details: Please don’t put us in a leaky room next time thank you….

Stayed a couple different nights throughout a trip. First night, we didn't book early, just showed up. We did get a room, but did pay a little more for it. Booked early on the next go around and got a better deal. Can't speak to any of the amenities, but rooms are clean and front desk was very pleasant.Safety: Parking lot is well lit.Walkability: Grocery and restaurants nearby.

What a breathe of fresh air. After staying in a couple of "shady" Wyndham hotels on our trip, it was nice to stay in a clean, well maintained room/hotel. Everything was fresh, clean, and enjoyable.

My 80 year old in-laws live in Dumas, TX and we made a reservation for them at the local La Quinta since we are in the process of moving them out of their home, and we needed them to have a place to relax and sleep during the moving process. We received a call from the hotel stating that since they were residents in the same town as the hotel that they were not allowed to stay there! We tried to explain that my in-laws have lived in the town for 30 years, are law abiding citizens, and are not throwing wild parties, but the hotel representative refused to honor our reservation and cancelled the reservation. (No, this isn't a joke...this really happened.) Granted, people reading this review are probably from out-of-town and won't encounter this type of discrimination, but this is our feedback of an extremely unprofessional encounter and a local hotel who doesn't deserve your money.

Stayed here several times since convenient and dog friendly en route to Colorado. However this time we were surprised by a new pet fee. No warning or listing on web site. Unlikely to stay again.

Room was clean, front desk employee was nice, ice machine down the hall works, tvs were huge and nice and new, but functionality of the remote was confusing. All in all, it was a good experience.

The young woman at the front desk was SO nice, or this would be a much lower review.First room, there was dirt all over the sheets. The bed had been tucked in, so somebody had been in there to clean and left the sheets there.Second room, sheets were clean, but the room was just... damp. The carpet was damp, the beds were damp. Just a really soggy room.We headed down to the pool, only to see that it closed at 10pm. We arrived after 10, so that hot tub we went out of our way for? Can't use it.Oh, and the vending machines on each floor have been removed, so if you want a soda, you have to go bug the front desk. That's a small one, just icing on the cake.Overall, I just feel kinda gross and dirty after staying here. I suggest heading elsewhere if you want a good night's sleep.

This hotel is ridiculous. Turning people away at 1AM, in the pouring rain after they already paid for their room all because one of their IDs was local but the other one’s wasn’t . Even though neither of the guests lived in the area they were still turned away. This is the worst rule I have ever heard. What about people who are returning to town to visit family? Welp can’t stay here. This hotel is not worth booking. If they are going to turn away guests, they could at least have polite staff members to do so.

I came in asking about rates since I was unable to find a rate for AAA members on the website. Before the assistant manager even asked for my ID, she made sure to ask if I was a local.... Apparently, they will not rent to "locals." Weird but ok. I checked in anyway. The room looked clean at first glance. But then we found the ice bucket filthy with a clean bag hanging on the inside and when I brought it to the front desk the same lady who claimed to be AM looked at me like I was crazy. She brought back a new bucket, then took the bag from the dirty bucket and placed it in my new clean bucket. I asked for a new bag since that one was in the dirty bucket. She said she didn't have anymore. I walked away. Then, after sleeping a couple of hours, I began to smell a faint, foul odor. I was unable to sleep anymore. I brought it to the same woman's attention. She said the carpet cleaners would not be there for a couple of more weeks. So this means they know it smells and don't care. Keep charging 200.00 or more and keep moving. Since we were unable to sleep, we were the first to breakfast. The area was dirty. Crumbs are already on the floor. Waffle mix was almost empty, syrup empty, gravy had to be scraped up to have enough for 1/2 a biscuit. I'm not sure what happened during this visit. But this is not the service we have received in the past.

The guy at the front desk when we checked in was very nice. At first glance the room looked good. It did have some wear that could be fixed pretty easy. The back of the bathroom door had been clawed up by a dog. First morning we put out the Do Not Disturb sign since we were pretty tired and wanted to sleep in. The next morning maid service knocked on our door just as we were getting ready to leave. I asked if she could hold off a couple of minutes and then she could have the room. She rolled her eyes, kind of looked away and said something in a different language, then walked off. When we got back later that day nothing had been done. That night we had to ask for towels since we didn't have any more. The woman at the front desk said she had been hearing a lot of that. She was very nice and got us what we needed. Nice place, just need to address the housekeeping issues.

Great place,at the reception we were checked in with a very friendly welcome, great room service and they are pet friendly, plenty of safe parking, and the breakfast was really nice plenty of take away joints and restaurants to have some food at. If you had a busy day or just a very long drive there is a nice Hot water pool and a very nice hot jacuzzi that will be waiting for you.

Great place to stop if traveling through Texas! It was clean and the staff was wonderful! It does need some upgrading but the staff and service made up for it,They offer a free Happy Hour for their guests from 5:30 - 8. A variety of beers on draft and lots of munchies. Sharron was our host and she was great! Very friendly and made the best cookies! They also offer free breakfast in the morning that was just perfect before heading back on the road. This is one we will visit again when traveling to see family. You won't be disappointed staying here!

This hotel appears to be a newer more modern La Quinta from the outside but once you get inside you'll discover what appears to be a cheaply done update that failed to cover up a hotel that is starting to look and feel a little run down. Our room had a cheaply done repair job on the ceiling where the paint didn't even match. The bathroom tub was a little gross, super beat up and we couldn't tell if it had mold or was just plain dirty. Price was $161.72 for one night. If you have a choice, stay at one of the newer hotels next door.
