What's the purpose of having a bank if they can't do nothing for you except get your money, "the other bank is just down the street". Then if the other bank is down the street why do they need that one open.

Meh, in my experience, usually when a company/bank is taken over by another, it's for the worst. They closed the lobby in March so now only the drive thru is open and my elderly mom (the client) has no car. They charge a monthly card and account fee. So I switched her over to my bank (First Convenience Bank) where accounts for seniors is free and they're open almost always 7 days a week. She's happy so far.
