I was recently at a holiday vendor fair in Plano and picked up a few bags of their jerky for my husband. While all of them have good flavor, the amount of sodium was so overwhelming. It did not match the samples I tasted. My husband LOVES salt, and he indicated they were too salty to eat and he threw them away. The beef also tasted a bit too chewy. I fully understand jerky is chewy, but neither my husband nor I liked the overall texture.
I will also echo Nathan's comment from 2 years ago. My guess is the same 'bad attitude' woman was at his event as was at the Plano event this past weekend. She was very unapproachable, gave a lot of side eye, and frankly seemed very uninterested in providing good customer service. The other, younger woman was very friendly and did more of the selling/customer service.
I really want to support local businesses, but unfortunately, the saltiness - in both the food and the woman's attitude - is enough for me to pass on any future purchases.

I received my sample pack of jerky from these very nice people and absolutely loved all the mild to medium flavors. All of them had wonderful flavor. I had never thought about dill jerky but now I am hooked. The hot flavors were the only ones that went to fellow employees at our warehouse. They enjoyed them immensely. Thank you East Texas Jerky!!! Bought some of the original at the RV show at AT&T stadium this weekend. The jerky is great. Good flavor without too much salt. The honey jalapeño is great too. Good product. I highly recommend giving them a try.

The entire staff is amazing and helpful! The Jerky is great from texture to taste! So many flavors and each time I try a new one it never disappoints! 5 stars out of 5 for sure!!!

Good jerky would like to have gave a 5 star. But the lady that was giving out samples during Edgewood festival had a very sour attitude at the very beginning from stepping into their tent.I decided not to purchase due to the attitude of the lady giving out free samples.Just advice to if you want people purchase your product that never tried it. Maybe have a better attitude towards the customer.

I consider myself a beef jerky fanatic. I’ve been looking for my regular “go-to” jerky and I’ve finally found it. ETJ checks all the boxes for me. I always get the hot and spicy and it’s always consistent and delicious. I dislike very sweet jerkies but ETJs jerky tastes like actual high grade beef—you can tell they don’t skimp on the ingredients to save on manufacturing costs. They have offerings on the sweet side if that’s your thing as well. Service is amazing and shipping is always fast, usually same day or always next day. Most jerky companies post pictures of their jerky but it looks different once you receive it. Their hot and spicy is exactly as shown in their pictures. Every piece is covered in red pepper. It’s not spicy to the point where it’s inedible and it’s firm but soft so when I destroy a whole one pound bag in a sitting, my jaw isn’t hurting the next morning. Remember to sign up for their email list because they have some really creative promos along with some off the wall flavors (Dr Pepper was rather unique). I’ve been a customer for over a year and their service and jerky is always perfect.
