Myself and my family want to deeply thank Dr. Cerelli and his staff for promptly caring for our 10-month old boy, who unfortunately caught parvo. We took him in as soon as Dr. Cerelli and the office were available (the day after symptoms started, which was Sunday), and he was quick to run tests and administer a heavy dose of injections and prescribed medications. After following Dr. Cerelli’s orders, he was back to his normal self after only 4 days, and we can now focus on getting his weight back up after being so sick (admittedly, we couldn’t help but think he was a goner for a bit, that’s how bad.) Both of our pups will be patients of his and his staff as long as he is in practice. EDIT: after reading some other unfavorable reviews, I’d like to point out that we received VERY patient and informative one on one care for our pup, and were given FULL instructions on medications and the care plan implemented by the doctor.

Considering that Texas is back open and they still hold COVID restrictions at Four Paws, I was very happy taking my Xolo to be seen. Sometimes I get concerned because not many Vets are familiar with Xoloitzcuntles. Dr. Cerelli was wonderful and took his time talking w me about his new patient, Xulo. I highly recommend Four Paws! Thank you for a great experience and the care provided to Xulo.12/22. Great experience as always. The openings are better now. I am grateful. Definitely recommend four ? ?09/15/23. Is a wonderful clinic if you are able to schedule the appointment. Dr. Cerelli and staff are great. The only thing i would say I have experienced many times when my dogs get sick is hard to be seen the same day. That does not happen often but when it does is stressful as a pet owner to not be able to be seen when your baby is sick. Not taking anything away from the clinic.

I trust this place so much! They take care of my boy so well. He underwent dental cleaning and a biopsy very smoothly

He's been our vet through decades of long-lived dogs and cats, giving them superior care. Our current pack of terriers is well cared for, although our oldest girl just passed. Nothing stops time. Dr. Cerelli is a great vet, and I trust his care and appreciate his compassion.

Been taking my dog here for about 2 years and recently our new kitten who was sick. I feel like now I can make an honest review. This vet is super caring and very knowledgeable. You can tell he loves what he does. And I honestly think the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this place!

If I could rate them 10 stars I would. I’ve never had such a great experience at a vet’s office before. There was no wait time, which I really appreciated. Both clerks and the vet tech were very polite. The vet is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient. He explained things thoroughly, answered all my questions, and was very gentle and kind with my dog. My dog got a physical exam and some vaccinations at a very reasonable price. I completely trust this vet and will be bringing my dog here from now on.

The negligence of this place is beyond me. As a healthcare professional myself I do not recommend this veterinarian. Seeing the responses from the owner shows the lack of professionalism and their egocentric behavior. This vet misdiagnosed my sisters dog with distemper without any testing and recommended to put the dog down. Shortly after we went to another vet and she tested negative. This place needs to go out of business. Instead of sassing and replying to your negative reviews take a professionalism course and learn how to handle criticism for your lack of care. You do not confirm a diagnosis without lab work. Careless

I do not recommended wasting your time here, you are better off taking them somewhere else where they will actually pay fully attention to your pet rather than let their ego and self absorbedness diagnose your pet. My puppy had been struggling with a tremor on her left paw and was neglected by her past vets so I took her to Four Paws Animal Hospital as I had read good reviews and saw that the vet had many years of experience. Everything was well until the vet came in and saw my dog for two minutes and quickly diagnosed her with distemper without even looking at her or recommending any test to be done. He later proceeded to inform that I would need to put her down without even considering that maybe she had something else. Didn’t recommend X-rays or anything just quickly told me that she will not survive and I would need to put her down. I refused to believe his diagnoses as it was too quick to diagnose so I took her to the 911 hospital in McAllen and got exams done there. They informed that she did not have distemper but instead something that can be resolved with a simple surgery. It angers me how they neglected my puppy and told me to put her down without examining her first, completing dismissing her, making your job easy just to get to the next patient. As a doctor, you should run multiple test before concluding to a diagnoses and don’t let your past experience with other patients determine the diagnoses of your future patients. It is upsetting to be told by one doctor that your pet will die and ignore her then have another doctor run test and inform you the opposite.

Wow!! You HAVE to pay $55 just to schedule an appointment, and if you are 11 (“more than 10”) minutes late, you LOSE that $55, and you will have to pay it AGAIN for the consult, even if they go ahead and see you anyway, in spite of the 11 minutes..??? Maybe things have changed since I used to take my pet there several years back..??♀️ but no thanks! With my “Murphy’s Law” life, I just can’t afford to lose that kind of money.* I’m editing this review in light of a clarification received from the owner of 4 Paws…While I understand the frustration of having some folks simply not show up for a scheduled appointment, I feel that prepayment of an exam is one thing and forfeiture of a “deposit” is another.. that fee is pretty steep for many, and I would suggest a more reasonable cancellation fee ($25-$30) which is a common amount kept/ forfeited/ deducted from a return by many other businesses… it still deters no-shows, but is more reasonable for those who actually do have things come up, out of their control, and must reschedule. In any case, thank you for the clarification. ??
