We were very pleased with our visit here. Took our beloved family dog here to get checked out, and the staff, nurses, and Dr. Keller were phenomenal with making sure our baby was well acquainted with the environment and comfortable. I LOVED the way they made sure to make him feel comfortable and loved throughout the whole way. He was a little nervous at first, but our nurse made sure to get on his level and really try to connect with him, which I haven't seen as much in vet visits in other places. It definitely shows that they care about animals and make sure that they are comfortable as well with us. In terms of pricing, they make sure to let you know throughout your visit different treatment plans and prices associated with them so that way you can feel comfortable and know along the way what you're paying for. I would say the prices are affordable and pretty average for your standard vet visit. Also, I loved the way they even called me a few days after his visit to see how he was doing. They really do treat you like family here, and I will probably be taking my other pets here in the future soon. Highly recommend this place to anyone seeking veterinary care in the RGV!

Office is very clean and smells nice! The staff was so kind and worked well with my big dog. They treated him and didn’t push any unnecessary or unwanted costs on us. I am glad I found a vet that me and my fur baby are comfortable with returning to!

Didn't stay long, my dog expelled what was troubling him....But the staff was very helpful and understanding. Been there before when my dog was a puppy. Good vets. Highly recommended.

Ever since 2020 or so it started to go downhill. I had a few bad instances that ultimately led me to change vets. The first thing that rubbed me the wrong way was when a tech put the leash too tight around my dog's neck, and pulled. I had to get down and correct her. That was the first time they did that, and I was surprised as I thought they would be aware that it is not recommended to leash brachycephalic dogs from the neck, much less pull. I ended up scratching my knee due to that incident, but the vet apologized so I gave them another shot. That sentiment soon changed when I was informed they would no longer see my dog unless I administered anti anxiety meds prior to every visit, which I noticed seems to be a common trend based off other reviews. I did not want to constantly drug my dog every time I took her so they suggested social visits for her to "get comfortable around them," which I thought was ridiculous as people work, etc. & don't always have the extra time to accommodate this. As professionals they should know how to handle animals without having to drug the majority of them. At first I abided, but soon they wanted to add even more anxiety meds. My dog is usually calm, so I thought it was time to find a new vet. My new vet is in McAllen, and I was pleasantly surprised at how great she is! My dog doesn't get nervous around her, she has never suggested any anxiety meds, and I can use my own leash on her. Glad I left this place.

I wanted to find a nearby place to take my pets for an appointment, but I was disappointed with the Veterinary Wellness Center. They couldn't accommodate my needs, and it felt like I wasted my morning there without getting the care my pet needed. Other people had also complained that this place only sees pets that aren't anxious. If a pet is anxious, the vet will give them sedatives to calm them. It's not allowed for dogs to bark because it's considered a sign of anxiety, which seems unfair. The veterinarian seemed knowledgeable and professional during my visit, but she appeared annoyed, distant, and uncaring. To make an appointment at this center, you have to pay $80, for the visit upfront. I received two phone calls to confirm my appointment, which didn't make sense since I had already paid the vet’s visit. To follow up, if your pet is anxious, you’ll have to schedule a telemedicine appointment, so that the pet will not have no come in and be a nuisance. The tech also mentioned this visit will be cheaper implying, as in case you can’t afford it. I felt that was kind of rude.Considering my experience, I wouldn't recommend this place to others. It's important to find a veterinary clinic that treats pets with respect and shows care and understanding towards both the pets and their owners.

Wasn’t too pleased with this place, the first visit went well and the assistant was friendly. We scheduled my dog’s second appointment during the 1st appt for 5/4 at 2pm(it’s in the paperwork and is what was in the app they provide up until about an hour before the appointment when they changed the time in the app to 1:45) and they call me the day before in the middle of a work day to confirm and I agreed with whatever the lady said, assuming SHE should know when the appt is because it’s literally in my file. When my partner arrived at the appointment at around 1:50-1:55 they gave him a hard time as far as seeing our dog at all (which would result in us paying for a missed appt)and made belittling remarks when my 3 month old puppy got excited for treats(assumed we don’t train her which made me angry because I work with my dog everyday all day they literally tell us not to feed them the day of so my poor baby was HUNGRY ps I did give her breakfast at around 7am) ….. for my partner to say they are rude is A LOT because he never has anything to say about anybody lol he also said the actual veterinarian was rude to her assistant the whole time which is unprofessional. I don’t know if they just don’t like us but if y’all see this my dog is in the BEST hands. Bunch of mean girls.

The vet is the best. She is nice and very informative. The techs are also great. The front desk lady seemed to have a small attitude, but I just assume it's because it's been a long day. The prices aren't really humble, but they do have packages that help a lot with puppies and new dogs in the family.

Beat vet in the valley! Professional staff, super kind and worked to make my dog calm and comfortable, and they were also extremely thorough with medical care. They did not recommend lots of expensive tests that were not necessarily needed. They sent a very detailed follow up email with a recap of the visit and treatment plan. Highly recommend!

The staff is always helpful and friendly! They use positive reinforcement to get our pets to listen to them. They always take their time to gain our pets’ trust during their visits. Our pets enjoy going to their check ups and social visits.

I called for a specific condition my dog has, but I was told they only use membership. My dog has had all vaccines and tests in September so that wasn't needed. So, I'm still looking for a vet.

I couldn't ask for a better provider for my baby girl, Mayzee! They treat her like their own!! You are NOT just a number here. From everyday check ups to major surgery. Unfortunately she had to have surgery twice because of complications, this was expected. They checked on her progress constantly and when they were closed the weekend, they would follow up to make sure she didn't need anything while they were out. They went out of their way to deliver her medications whenI wasn't able to go. I do understand the anxiety meds. As for my little one, she does get anxious and sometimes fidgets to the touch. I could go on and on but all I have to say is , LOOK NO MORE! No wait, appointments only. What I can tell you is, if your appointment is at 8:15, you will be seen at 8:15! You pay for the quality of care. They are extremely transparent and itemize everything. NOTHING is FORCED. They saved my little girl!
