One of the biggest problems with this bank is they are not open on Saturdays, my card has been blocked by the fraud center, so now I have to wait until Monday before I can do anything about it, RIDICULOUS

I give them two stars because the tellers at the bank are awesome. Otherwise they are not a very competent bank at all. For the last 2-3 months almost every charge I make online is marked as fraud. They deny the charges and don't notify me for 2 or more days. Meanwhile they then block your card so you can't make any transactions. Then when you call the fraud department you are on hold for 10 + minutes trying to speak with an agent so that you can get everything fixed. On top of this you can't make deposits at an atm. This is 2023... COME ON AND GET WITH THE TIMES! I now drive close to an hour to bank at another financial institution. Can't wait until all my transactions have cleared so I can close my account and never return to them.

While visiting El Campo I had my wallet stolen so went to this ATM to replace the cash then went inside but bank would not exchange for larger bills? I was not a customer!!!! I feel I just became a customer when I paid them the ATM fee. How rude, it’s money for money!

I had an account at Legacy Bank which “Prosperity” recently acquired. If you had an account at Legacy make sure you look at the fees “Prosperity” charges. I closed my account the following day after receiving my statement. The local “banker” didn’t even bother to ask why I was closing the account. I’m sure she was embarrassed or tired of having to ask. “Prosperity” Bank is only concerned with their own prosperity by sticking it to their customers. Do yourself a favor and find another bank.

The worst customer service and online banking ever. As a new customer I will be closing my account ASAP. The agents who have handled my emails are an embarrassment to this company. Not to mention the long wait period for their high call volume. Every day.

Our bank merged with Prosperity. Today is Day 1 after merge completion and nothing works right. Trying to use popmoney to send a payment, first went through verification (which is not a problem), then I found out popmoney is no longer free to us -- there is a service charge per transaction. Then after I submitted the transaction, it said because the verification process was not successful (which is BS), they are putting a hold on the transaction and I have to call to clear it. On top of that, I sent an email to them this morning asking generic information, such as monthly fees, and it took them a day to reply to say that they can not help me via email .... and yes, I have to CALL. What is this? I though this is 2020, and my bank still can't answer simple general questions? My old bank could even answer account specific questions via emails. I looked at their accounts ... everything requires fees or "service charges". For example, the basic saving account only gives 3 debit transactions per month instead of 6 ... and yes, charge for additional transaction. We will be closing our accounts.

I chose Prosperity in Georgetown for their so called "business experiance". Shortly after switching to them Georgetown changed branch managers and it all went downhill from there. They were unable to complete basic banking functions like wire transfers and required me to show my P&L before they were willing to send a wire. They fired the friendly tellers and didnt train the incoming correctly. Their lack of knowledge in their own field was completly dissappointing and nearly cost me thousands of dollars. When I contacted the branch manager Brad Curlee about this issue, he acted as if I wanted him to pay me for the mistake when all I wanted was them to send our wire out. We later contacted Prosperity about merchant services and were quoted a rate of 2.7% for credit card processing, 0.05 below our current rate. Later they tried to change the rate to 3.29%. When I responded via email and cc'd the branch manager on this issue, they responded with a letter saying they have scheduled the account for closure and can no longer service the account. Overall I am not happy with them and the Retail Area Supervisor that I was told to contact has never returned my calls. Save yourself the greif and go with a bank that has the ability to return calls.
