My experience with this location in El Campo was horrible, I was given the wrong information by a teller then the manager Michael is giving me the run around and I have been dealing witb this bank for years.

I had such high hopes, but after several days of "glitches" that included 9 accounts being opened in my name "by the system" and their inability to fund my account from another of my bank accounts (different institution) after 6 days; I have lost all confidence in their ability to handle my money. As soon as they get all this mess cleared up (since I technically have to wait for the account to open fully), I'm closing my account and RUNNING to another institution like my financial life depends on it-because it does!Update: It's now Tuesday 5/3 and I'm still not funded. Can I change my one star to no stars?

This location is very hit-&-miss with customer service and services offered. The drive-through staff is methodical and borderline rude. They seem annoyed if you ask for a pen or deposit slip. We have had issues with mobile deposits being incorrect amounts and not being made available within a reasonable amount of time (several business days), and charges not being allowed to process due to blanket filters and location (for reference: Katy, TX is not "out of town" but was declined as such, and apparently any charge from New York, authorized or not, is declined unless you're willing to assume responsibility for all possible fraud from the state). It seems like we have an issue with this bank nearly every other month, if not more frequently. The only redeeming quality about this institution is their loan officers. They are GREAT and are very genuine in trying to help, and not just make a sale. We originally brought all of our business to TG last year, and we did get great rates on refinancing autos with them, and that was a great experience. I guess they're just not good at the normal day-to-day business, but are there for the *bigger* transactions. Being a small town business used to be a good thing. This institution does NOT fit the "small town" quality El Campo is known for.

The team there is always happy to assist you. They make it super easy to get a loan and they have the best loan rates I have found. Give them a chance, you will not be disappointed.

Texas Gulf is a great bank credit/union! However, this specific location is absolute garbage. The employees seem to be very unhappy with themselves and their job. When you go to the drive through you have to REQUEST a pen and whatever forms you need, which is such an inconvenience. A 10minute process turns into a 30 minute process. If you go inside, they will loudly say your account balance and other personal information ... no privacy at all. They need to re-evaluate this place. The Wharton branch receives 100 stars in my opinion, their workers are friendly pleasant and ready to help and they also respect privacy of customers!!! Thumbs up to wharton, thumbs down to el campo.
