Ascarate Pool & Aquatics Center, owned by El Paso County, is a seasonal outdoor pool located in the lower valley of El Paso, Texas. It typically opens after Memorial Day and closes after Labor Day, offering a variety of swim options for families and individuals alike. The facility features a large pool that ranges from 4 to 13 feet deep, making it suitable for both casual swimming and lap swimming. The pool area is generally clean and well-maintained, with a separate kiddie section that includes a slide, although some concerns have been raised about maintenance of the slides. Visitors appreciate the affordability, as they can bring their own chairs and coolers at no extra cost, and the environment is often described as not too crowded, providing a relaxing atmosphere. However, there have been some issues with inconsistent hours, with visitors advised to check posted bulletin boards for accurate times, especially during the open season. The pool enforces break times, which can be every hour or every two hours, allowing lifeguards to rest. Some visitors have experienced inconvenience due to the hours closing 30 minutes before the posted closing time. Despite minor maintenance and scheduling concerns, many enjoy visiting Ascarate Pool & Aquatics Center for its clean water, reasonable prices, and family-friendly environment. Best place to spend the summer as a child. Great memories

I just love that the month of September our four legged pups are allowed to enjoy the pool! I hope this continues for years to come! I definitely recommend for those of you who have well mannered pups who enjoy having aquatic fun!

Every time I go family has fun, my little one loves their kid section with slide hit always ends up with fiberglass on her hands from the slides. They need to maintain them! It’s so uncomfortable for my toddler
