I’m a Big Lots Loyal Customer and I’ve always picked this one versus any other store like Walmart, Target, Etc. I love big lots and I spend so much money year-round with this company! I’ve never experienced any type of issues in the past before at any big lots location. However, today I had my first disappointing experience due to the service provided by Cyndi, the Assistant Manager. I was trying to purchase a specific item that I couldn't find anywhere else, and it was incomplete, even the young cashier agreeed it was incomplete. Instead of assisting me, Cyndi made me wait a long time while the cashier struggled to manage a growing line by herself. In previous visits, I’ve encountered similar situations where incomplete items were discounted to a reasonable price, typically around $0.50 to $1.00. However, this time, Cyndi insisted on charging me the full price of $3.00 for an item that was clearly missing parts. When I tried to explain that the item wasn’t complete, she dismissed my concerns and insisted it was indeed complete, despite the lack of any tags or packaging. To make matters worse, Cyndi scolded me for my frustration and suggested that there were plenty of other similar items in the toy aisle. I had already spent nearly two hours searching the store, and I can assure you that I didn’t find anything like what I was looking for. Overall, I left the store feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. I hope management addresses this issue, as the service I received from Cyndi was far from satisfactory.

I don't go to Big Lots that often, mostly to buy popcorn and outdoor lighting. They have a fantastic selection of both at great prices. Kettle corn for the win! My friend shops at Big Lots a lot. The cashier was very helpful for her find and to use an e-coupon she'd been sent as a frequent buyer.
