i had a trade a 2019 mustang gt with 19k miles and in perfect conditions i was quoted for my trade in $30,400 and i was gonna buy a tesla model 3 , my dad passed away on july so i had to change the title , they told me.it would take about 5 weeks to do the title transfres , guess what? it was actually 5 months so when i came back for my tesla my car now was worth 24k and the tesla was still at the same price 37k from 5 month ago but my mustang depreciated but their tesla remain the same value thats really really really wierd because i know cars go down on value as time pass but theirs didn't, the excuse i was told by the sale person named, stephanie was that because the tesla was on hold the car value remained the same , i couldn't say no it was like i was back down to a wall and forced to sign with those requirements, i will never buy a car again in carmax ever and if i ever have the chance to recommend carmax to someone i will only talk bad thing about this company and how they do business they are shady and and should be ashamed, the only reason im telling ypu i was forced to sign with those requirements was because i told Stephanie that i wasn't going to back down from the sale i was gonna go through noatter what or no matter how long it takes , so in other words the process of me purchasing the tesla was not going to get cancell no matter the circumstances because the mustang had to be sold asap or my mom could face bankruptcy for not being able to make payments and face the consequences of a repo , so you can understand what we were going through at the time of me selling the mustang, i hope i will never ever put my foot in that place in that awful carmax and their awful salesperson , i took a tesla that was 37k 5 months ago for exactly 37k plus ttl and fees after 5 months and without any negotiation on the price because is not allowed to negotiate under their handbook rules they are full of it .edit : feb-11-2024 they still haven't done anything to fix the problem , all they did was respond to this review so other people watching think they are on top of this but no they haven't tried nothing no even a call not even a text or something, im still furious about the fact that i overpaid for a tesla that was depreciating. that right now at this moment as we speak you can buy a 2022 with 16k miles dual motor with 30k us dollars, they oversold me a car that was on their stock for the past 5 months in their lot without anyone paying attention to it , and just because i showed interest in that car they knew they could bend me over and you know the rest .

The process was by far the smoothest and fastest I have had in a lifetime of car purchasing. Great staff, communication and I'd recommend CarMax as a option in car purchase.

CarMax made it really easy to sell my truck. The amount they offered was reasonable.

Ordered and paid for shipping for a Porsche Macan from another dealership, after waiting for 2 hours from the appointment time, during test drive I noticed it had a noice in the front suspension, which I demanded to be fixed prior to completing the purchase. After I refused to buy the vehicle in this condition they made a work order to check it, first it was the tires, then the wheel bearings, then the tires again, over a month waiting….and nothing.Long story short, I never got a call that the vehicle was finished, I ended up expiring on my credit union preapproval. So don’t waste your precious time at this carmax dealership, I refused to buy a vehicle that’s 50k with a front suspension noice, the salesperson kept on pushing the sale, even management, and they really don’t care about the customer, or their precious time.

Selling a car can be very stressful, and car max made it very simple. Filled out a questionnaire and took my car down to their place to get physically inspected. They gave me a 8000 quote and finished with a final price of 7000. What didn't fit right was they couldn't tell me in detail about what they found. Brianna Samaniego was very helpful attended me with the final process and got me my check . She is very helpful and a sweetheart helping this old man .

would give zero stars if i could, horrible customer service and very sketchy. vasquez made the application very difficult. and was just VERY difficult to work with in general. was there for three hours for nothing. called the 1800 # , worked with them and came back to do express pick up and the lady on the phone just said what we needed and we went and there's was more problems, we were there for another hour or two (thought it was EXPRESS pickup) just save your time and money and go to alameda, it's probably better there.

Pros: I knew my cars value as well as the price of the car I was shopping for, my loan terms, and other information via their website. The store was also clean.Cons: Considering I had submitted all of my paperwork, got prequalified for both my trade-in's value and the loan for the new car, and had everything ready, this was a LONG appointment. I was expecting an hour or so, in-and-out, but ultimately was there for close to 4 hours. The salesman who assisted me kept leaving for extended periods of time without indicating what he was doing, and midway through my appointment had started meeting with a new customer which further delayed the process. I understand that the car dealership is a slow and tedious place to be, but more clarification and swiftness would have been nice considering everything was ready before I had even reached the store.I will likely be back to Carmax because the website makes things so clear and I felt very informed, but at this point it's a matter of picking the lesser of two evils (Carmax v. Traditional Dealership).
