Not a bad place if you don't stay for more than a year. I had a storage unit with them for nearly 3 years after PCSing to Fort Bliss. Every 3-6 months they raise your rent with no caps. By the time I left, I was paying over $100 their rates. So if you need a long term unit, Cube Smart is the worst!

Although we initially loved the downgrade process to a smaller unit, the move out was horrendous. 3 days before due date we rented a uhaul to empty the unit and our code didn't work, so a new employee helped us get it taken care of. After emptying and cleaning, we find out our unit is past due so I called and couldn't leave a message, so I emailed Julia. No response. Called again, same thing. I call the 800# and got it documented that I should owe nothing. Still, no email from Julia or the team. How unprofessional! So I try to log in and I get a notification saying I don't have a unit to log into...only then did I get some indication that I don't have a balance. Geez...real quick to call me if I'm a day late tho...if I ever need storage, I won't return here.

I sent several phone calls over a span of six weeks stating that I needed to give up the storage building. I never put anything in it to begin with. I had it on auto pay. Then the rates went up to $146 a month and I sent messages again, I need to give up the building and what do I need to do next if I could do this over the phone and auto also sent messages by email. When I first signed up for the storage building. The representative told me that if I’m ready to give up the building, just don’t make a payment and they will know that I have vacated. I just couldn’t get there to takeoff the lock. But I had made numerous messages to them. I go there today and I am charged $171 for late payment. At first, I couldn’t go to take the lock off then I told the lady there that I’ll take the lock off and I made sure to take videos of the empty storage shed, So I would not be blamed for any damages. I do not trust this establishment they say Another they do not answer their calls. I shake the dust off my feet from them and their Business. Good luck to those of you who rent there the room was clean, If Anything go in person because they will not return your calls. If I need a Sturge building again, I’ll go somewhere else when the need comes..
