My wife opened a new account at that branch and she didn't even receive a card and it already had negative charges. She went to the branch and they said that someone who identified the ATMs posed as me and then wanted to cash a fake check in my wife's name. They made my wife feel that she is involved in this alleged fraud. The lady I spoke with told her to be grateful that she didn't cash the check otherwise my wife would have to pay that charge and it was also the second case she had and I asked myself which one. It is the security of that bank for both new and old clients. It is the worst experience we have had in a bank, making us feel guilty when we had not even received a card and the account was new and they removed it from the bank supposedly to do them the favor of protecting it.

I’m a new client with GECU with a pretty good credit score and I guess since I’m a barber and probably make more money then the guys I talked to they didn’t want to help me out get a credit card nor did they give me advice in anyway to obtaining one. yet my wife calls and some jerk De La Rosa is always like a horn dog trying to go above and beyond for her as soon as he knows she’s calling it’s like he asked to be transferred am I the only one to notice they take preference to female clients? When female reps answer it’s ok but the males there are to look into. Other than that I hope they change their ways and help out like they should.

### The Worst Bank in El Paso: A Tale of Deception and Incompetence
My experiences with this bank have been nothing short of a nightmare. On multiple occasions, they have blatantly lied to me and failed to resolve any of my issues.
**The Disappearance of $100:**
The first time, a staggering $100 mysteriously vanished from my account. When I sought their assistance, they couldn't offer any explanation or help. went in circles with me for more than 2 hrs just trying to “understand”????
**The Checking Account Debacle:**
The second time, I simply wanted to open a new checking account. Despite being physically present at the branch, they insisted on "guiding" me through the online process. I specifically requested an in-person card, but they told me it was impossible to provide one that day. Later, I discovered that the staff member could have issued the card in person; she just didn't want to.
**Digital Transition Farce:**
Now, they're pushing a digital transition, which is laughable given their utter lack of functionality. They have staff available to escort me to a conference room and initiate a video call, yet no one can meet with me in person to address my concerns. waited more than 1hr and a half for them to say they can’t hell ?
This bank's incompetence and deception are unmatched. Save yourself the trouble and avoid them at all costs.

It took me 30 minutes to cash a CASHIERS CHECK a check that was purchased from here !!!! They were training a teller and made sure to explain him everything on the system while I was waiting !! Who manages that branch ?

All the applications are done online now. The bank lacks personal interactions. I am not sure when professionals became lazy and decided to work from home. We go to the bank for a reason, I appreciate advice from experts. There’s no need to castigate members that want to improve their finances. Honest feedback yet I’m not considering to move banks. I am hoping that this will be read by a knowledgeable social media manager, and some concerns can be addressed. GECU can do much better for the community.

Horrible customer service. Been on hold for over 15 minutes just so I can get them to fix there screw up. I need to switch banks. Just for them to hang up on me when. I tell them they have wasted my time.

I have been a customer for over two decades. The past 3 years GECU has gone to the dumps. The DMV feel when you go to the branches. The ATMs only giving out big bills even though business are no longer taking anything bigger than. 20 dollar bills. To questioning you if you want to deposit a check over 3 grand. “ why do you have this” ? It’s a paycheck that’s why?lastly after 17 years they are now messing up with my direct deposit. Good luck if you join.
