Applied here October 2024 as a truck driver for their route 300 division (EP to TX, TX to Denver, Denver to ABQ or EP). Went in for the orientation, drug test, mandatory safety class, pre trip inspection, and road test. Thought I had it in the bag, until recruiter told me I somehow didn't pass the pre-trip inspection test or the road test, without disclosing the exact reasons. I've got 10 years experience, 4 years as an owner op with mechanical knowledge, there's no f-ing way I failed the pre trip and road test. But whatever, as my wife said, MVT wasnt the right match for me. And she's not wrong, the company is too corporate and big, you're just a number there, and I would've been miserable.
Yeah, the pay seemed great, at 60cpm, but their trucks are governed to 64mph, and they have dumb fuel incentives for fuel mileage bonuses. If you can afford to pay "fuel bonus" to the drivers, just include it in the regular pay, cheapskates.
Only reason for 2 stars is the food inside the cafeteria is actually decent, and free per the meal voucher from recruiting office.

This place sucks. Was hired on as a regional, was told I would get 2500 to 3000 miles a week make 1200 to 1800 a week. All lies, was put on a dedicated run from Dallas to Houston, to San Antonio, barely got 1500. This place SUCKS

Do not go to this company they’re terrible I repeat do not go here. So I talked to a recruiter named Matt he set me up for orientation booked me a bus ticket to leave on a Wednesday I got the emails did all my clearing house things and the day before I was suppose to take the grey hound to El Paso for road test and drug screen Matt calls me and tells me they decided to give position to another driver that’s already currently working there I just have never dealt with something so unprofessional in all my years of working also I’ve read other reviews on here people stating they’ve gone all the way to El Paso to be told they don’t have a position anymore I didn’t think this would happen to me but apparently this company does this often to people this is not how you treat people idk how they even are standing as a company but karma doesn’t spare anyone just a heads up don’t accept a job from here

This company is most definitely a joke they called me for a survey about my orientation and it’s been two weeks now and they yet have still payed me for orientation, therefore I did not complete the survey over the phone until I am payed!!

I signed up for a specific route. When I got hired, the numbered specific route slightly changed, but I was repeatedly told that it was basically the same, so I didn't complain. What they didn't tell me was that they were going to force me to drive mostly overnight, starting at 10 pm from El Paso to Del Rio. Almost every run I did was this one. When I told them I couldn't handle 3 nights overnight and then going back to day shift over and over again, they continued to try and force me to take that run. Even after I talked to safety about how I was too fatigued and wouldn't risk falling asleep while driving. This company is garbage. Especially Nathaniel, one of the dispatchers. He is the type of guy you could suspect was bullied a lot in school. He takes what tiny amount of power he feels he has, and literally pretends like he's running the entire fleet, what a joke!

My wife recently joined the company and has not yet completed her first week. I was quite concerned about her treatment by the safety department. On a particularly difficult day, she was coping with the distress of her stepfather being involved in a car accident, which added to her emotional burden, especially being far from home. Despite this, she persevered and attended her road test, only to encounter a safety representative who was excessively harsh and unkind towards her. When I picked her up, she was in tears. Having driven trucks for six years, she has never experienced such unfair treatment in any workplace. This incident prompted her to reach out to the recruiter to express her intention to leave the company due to the negative interaction. The recruiter encouraged her to reconsider and give it another chance, which I was initially hesitant about. First impressions are crucial, and the behavior of the safety representative should reflect the company’s values more positively. No driver should be subjected to such treatment, especially when they already face numerous challenges. It is important for the workplace to foster a sense of community. I was disheartened to see my wife, who was genuinely excited about this opportunity, feeling so discouraged. I hope that her perspective on the company can improve as she decides to give it another shot, despite her recent experience.

So I was in Laredo with Mesilla Valley Transportation thinking I’m gonna get my truck today because it’s the last day of orientation. No I got walked out because my application was actually NOT approved. I was brought here & stayed in my hotel and everything. I checked in and out.
I was told by recruiter that I was approved. Thats obviously not true because I’m headed back home jobless now.
And my training was so pushed back so there’s that. I read about this company doing this to drivers but I didn’t think it would happen to me

I wanted to drive for this company. I got the paperwork submitted to the recruiter that he had asked for. Once everything was submitted, it was like everything just stopped. I left messages to call me back. Then when I did get a hold of the recruiter, they said they would call me back and never did.
