Newman Park is a nice, clean, and quiet park. It features a well-lit walking trail and very nice grass. The playground for kids is clean, bigger than most, and covered by a big shade. It is considered safe and is near the scenic drive. The park is dog-friendly, providing baggies and trash cans, and most people pick up after their dogs. However, many people take their dogs off the leash. A noted downside is the lack of restrooms, a water fountain, and fewer ice cream trucks. There is a corner store across the street.
