I went to the store on March 10th, 2025 around 10am I was shopping to get a birthday day gift for a co-worker I was stopped by a Security guard he told me that it’s a policy to take my purse backpack. I only had a coach purse that was a backpack. I asked the security if I can see the policy on taking my backpack he told me it was word-of-mouth. He doesn’t have a policy and I told him well then you can go get me your manager. The security guard and the manager conversed before approaching me. She came up to me and she was like how can I help you I said you can start by showing me the policy on taking personal handbags and leaving them upfront! See our policy, she said was that they have a lot of people stealing. I said well that’s not my fault, I don’t steal I’m 38 years old and I’m definitely not gonna still from a Ross!!! She was also telling me that the security guard is new. Obviously he doesn’t know the protocol and that he shouldn’t be approaching people to take their handbags. I’ve never been to a Ross dealing with this type of harassment. He was unprofessional and she was an unprofessional manager that obviously did not train her employees. I am really upset that I couldn’t just go into Ross and enjoy my day shopping, I had to get harassed about my handbag. Poor training and poor management!
so I took my business to Ulta. They did not harass me about my personal handbag, and I spent a lot of money.

Loss prevention needs to work on people skills and to go after the ones who actually steal. Had two loss prevention workers following me and my kids around the store. They both made eye contact with me and “pretended to look at a shirt”. Other than that they profiled me and stereotyped me based off how I looked. Last time I come to this Ross. So if you sweat a lot, have anxiety, hate being followed around because you are browsing, don’t bother coming to this store!

The supervisor is super bad, the clothes are priceless and they give you what they want. Just because they were lazy to not go searching, they don't even search the system. They give you the price right there
