I live in a different state and bought my mom a phone to be picked up at this store. The representatives refused to activate my mom’s phone unless she paid 32$ for them to activate it. Now I understand if my mom had asked for them to set up her accounts etc. but she literally just wanted to walk out with a working phone since her old one broke. I don’t understand why she has to pay for that, it’s very disappointing, do they really not do that anymore? My mother is older on not tech savvy so she doesn’t even have a phone at the moment or a way to get in contact with anyone. I would do it for her if I was there but I’m not, I was counting on the Verizon rep to help her which is why I had it set up to be picked up there vs. me buying the phone elsewhere. I spoke to a Verizon representative on the phone who told me they shouldn’t charge for that, it’s literally a basic service. Like I said, it’s very disappointing, and to top it off there was 4 employees there, they weren’t busy, and not one was able to help her.

~ Preface. . .
~ I initially went to the - “Z location” - to make a recce inquiry about the new Pixel 9 Pro series, that - “everyone heard about! . . .”
~ after a few minutes there, I wasn't too satisfied with the results, so I decided to do more research and find a different Verizon Location to do business with . . .
~ after a few searches and some review readings, I decided to go to the Desert Ave location and see what happens . . .
~ after a few days, I finally managed to return to El Paso for a VA appoint and afterwards went to the chosen location to get the Pixel 9 Pro!
~ I should mention that I live outside of El Paso in the desert area, which is why I plan everything whenever I travel to EL Paso at the same time.
~ as I arrived, parking was easy and adequate and I had no issues upon entering the establishment.
~ as I entered I was acknowledged by the V-TEAM there and noticed that they were attending to another customer, so I waited quietly as they did so.
~ after a few minutes, this black-clothed female employee came over, introduced herself and I instantly stated that I was there for a Pixel 9 Pro XL (or) Pixel 9 Fold and if she was ready to sell me a Pixel 9 Pro!
~ we briefly discussed what I was looking for in the Pixel 9 Series . . .
~ I eventually decided to get the Pixel 9 Pro XL (as it was cheaper than the fold) and I could get the 512 storage option that came with it.
~ I wanted the 1TB storage option (however) that wasn't available to be ordered or be obtained (unless) I ordered it from another source (then) brought it into them to activate it.
~ I decided to forego that hassle . . .
~ “Ruby” - recommended that she look at my usage and see what was best for my needs and I agreed with this action.
~ we went to the business area (another table) and proceeded with the transaction process.
~ she looked at my storage usage and was surprised that I had close to 35 GB of images (which equals 8406 images)
~ after looking at the usage, she recommended that the 512GB option was enough for my usage because I was using the 128GB option previously, so that would be an upgrade already.
~ so after everything was agreed on, the purchase was made and we started the data transfer stage from the Pixel 6 to the (new) Pixel 9 Pro XL . . .
~ Ruby (I hope I remembered your name right Ma'am) - if not, let me know and I'll correct it.
~ she's the - “best girl” - at this location, as she assisted me in obtaining what I wanted/needed in the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
~ she made the wisest recommendation(s) for my specific needs and usage.
~ she is very professional, knows her stuff about the devices (and I mean all of them) and not just for - “specific ones that are trendy or for social status”
~ Ruby treated me as a - “valued customer” - and I was impressed with her professionalism and vast knowledge.
~ I was treated with respect and wasn't judged for my interests (including) that she treated me as a regular person and not a person in a wheelchair.
~ hands down, this is the - “BEST LOCATION” - to go for anything related to Verizon, Google or any other device that they service and sell.
~ YES, it may be a longer drive (for some) to get here and YES, it may (even be) an inconvenience for some, but trust me, it's “worth it”
~ if I can give more than 5 stars I would!
~ this location is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Do not recommend coming here. After about 20 years of service with Verizon, all the staff cared about here is selling me another phone instead of helping. Haven't heard "you're due for an upgrade" as many times in the short 15 minutes I was there. Already considering switching service because of this experience.

If I could rate it lower I would, I’ve been with Verizon for years and the customer service I received at this store was very upsetting.Failure to acknowledge I was in the room, 5 minutes, only customer there, 3 employees with their tablets. Once I was spotted, Jesus was distracted and did not assist me or make me feel like my issue was going to be taken care of. I messaged him to follow up with the status of my trade in credit and he never responded. Called Verizon and did what they do best and took care of my credit same day. Sunland Verizon is much better overall.

I did not like to see when an employee of your branch yelled at my mother outside your establishment, that speaks of the unfortunate lack of professionalism that they have that type of employees.

Very bad experience, I would say that the worst I have ever had, their employees are arrogant, rude and discriminating, they make fun of their customers, reaching the point that you leave a very bad taste in your mouth. In my opinion, any other branch is better. Person who gave me this very bad experience ANTONIO GANDARILLA employee of veraizon. I DON'T GIVE IT 0 STARS BECAUSE YOU CAN'T.

I had a cell sent there for my mom to pick up. Customer service was not good, and they were trying to charge an activation fee. When I had previously paid. When I showed proof, they changed it to a transfer fee (contacts, apps, etc.) . I've never had to pay for that with any cell phone.

Great services with my buddy Ricardo and Jesus! On Tuesday the new iPhone 15 is coming! If you need to buy a new phone wait. There will be great promotional discounts for the launch of the new iPhone 15. Can anyone believe this? Fifteen years since the first iPhone?! This store location has been opened since 2019 and the service is really good. Alex the manager and Ricardo are super helpful to select the plan that fits best your needs and to also help transfer all your apps to the new phone. They have gaming products and speakers as well as the new Verizon Business a internet.
