The store is under new ownership it has been cleaned up and food will be served soon, they people there are extremely nice and really take the time to connect with customers. I would recommend this gas station to my friends and family.

IF YOU BOUGHT CONTAMINATED GAS FROM THIS STATION in the past few days and the owner is giving you the runaround, contact Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, also consult with a lawyer specializing in product liability or consumer protection. They are definitely responsible for any damage to your vehicle. Save receipts of all expenses. You shouldn’t have to pay for their negligence!

Hello , I put the gas on last tuesday as well daily basis but i don't get any problem to my car it's running good and i always stop this gas station to all the way Smithfield tx but it never happened to my car, anyway store emplyee is so friendly and supportive. love this store to stopped by always .....

🚨 DO NOT SUPPORT KP FOOD MART at 336 US-290 Suite D, Elgin, TX 78621 ‼️
They knowingly sold me contaminated gasoline full of WATER, and it destroyed my car‼️‼️‼️
On Tuesday, July 8th 2025, between 4:10 and 4:30 PM, I filled up with my usual 89-grade gas. Not even 5 minutes after leaving, my engine light came on, my car started violently shaking, and then it completely shut off.
A mechanic inspected it and drained some of the tank—the gas was mostly yellow, dirty water, with a thin layer of gasoline on top (see photo below).
When I confronted the manager today, he admitted he already knew there was water in the gas since Monday—he said he wasn’t in town over the weekend. He laughed in my face and told me there’s “nothing he can do” and that it’s “not his fault.” A sign saying the gas pump was out of service only went up AFTER I fueled up—likely later that Tuesday or even Wednesday/Thursday.
So they knowingly kept the pumps running and sold bad fuel, causing massive damage to customers’ vehicles—and now they refuse to take any responsibility.
How is this not illegal? This business is operating with zero accountability, destroying people’s cars, and walking away like it’s nothing.
Now I’m stuck without a car, facing thousands of dollars in repairs and no transportation for work.

This gas station over price the items at the register and when you complain of price changes at type of paying the employee says it's old price and it's not his problem. "Want the item or money back" please check your money after paying for your items.
