Most horrible post office that I have encountered... They mark packages delivered but are not in my box. I got my package 2 weeks later . Everytime I go in there I see the employees throwing people's packages.

The absolute rudest employees I’ve ever come across. I rarely go in but both times this year my packages were “held per customer request” which was not true I was treated disrespectfully. I dread having to go in. They need further training on dealing with customers or find another profession if you can’t be kind and respectful to people. Both occasions were an inconvenience to me and not my fault yet I was yelled at and not helped.

I previously gave this office a really good review because when you go into the office they are very efficient they know what they're doing and they get you in and out.Unfortunately when it comes to missed door deliveries and redelivery requests they never honor the redelivery request or their own pink notices informing you of the date that they will redeliver, written by them in their own handwriting. I had to go into the office to get the last delivery and I will no doubt have to for this one also because the office closes at noon today and still no redelivery has happened, it's noon now. And for the record, yes, I have signed, selected an option and attached the pink slip back on the door plus I left a handwritten note to please knock loudly but for what? They aren't coming back.Next Day Air never arrives the next day. 2nd Day Air has a 50/50 chance of arriving on the 2nd day. I've received at least 3 refunds in the past year and will receive another for last week's letter when I go next week to pick up my package.Please don't bother yourself with filing a complaint with usps's main united states office, as I discovered on more than a couple of occasions including for last month's issue, they defer the issue back to the local office you're complaining about then the local office calls you back like, what's wrong ma'am, why are you so uptight, is it because I'm not going to be of any help and you and I both know it?

Hate this place with a passion. They close 45 minutes early. And they are particular about how a package should be packed and they won't take it. I go to another USPS with the same package and they took it. This place is hell

Very rude lady with red hair. Made an appointment online specifically looking for “photo services” for my 1yr old to get his passport. After waiting a month for the appointment. My husband and I took the morning off since the earliest appointment was at 10am and we actually showed up early to get the cashier check, fill application, etc and as soon as the lady saw us she immediately said. “Oh no oh no we don’t open till 10am, we don’t take pictures on babies, you need and appointment, you need to have your application filled out etc.” Which I understand BUT it’s not what you say it’s how you say it. And like I mentioned I arrived at at 9:30am to fill out what I had to and have everything in order. I am very disappointed at the customer service and the Elgin post office. Maybe update the website and write. MUST BRING YOUR PHOTO, YOUR APPLICATION, YOUR CASHIERS CHECK,YOUR OWN PEN, YOUR OWN ENVELOPE Etc.

I went today to do my passport along with my parents. Anastasia did a PHENOMENAL job. Anastasia was alone at the front desk and took care of every single customer with a smile and very good care. Anastasia made the whole experience painless. Thank you!

Post office won’t answer the phone for a simple question, instead they forward you to a robot who has the iq of a goldfish and will not transfer you to a actual representative at the post office.

I am writing this complaint review to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the USPS Elgin employee who handled my first-time passport application. It is evident that this employee lacks the necessary knowledge and understanding of the process to accept a new citizen's passport application in the United States.Upon visiting the USPS Elgin branch to apply for my passport, I presented the required identification, which includes the new citizenship paper. However, the employee failed to recognize this vital document and insisted on using a driver's license as the primary form of ID. This lack of awareness about acceptable identification options for passport applications is concerning and reflects poorly on the competence of USPS employees.Furthermore, I find it deeply troubling that the employee did not display the same level of diligence and assistance for me as she did for the group ahead of me. Despite having all the necessary documents ready, I was made to wait for over 40 minutes while the employee seemed uninterested in handling my application promptly. This preferential treatment towards others, coupled with the lack of knowledge, suggests a discriminatory attitude that is entirely unacceptable.Not everyone possesses a driver's license, and it is unjust to penalize individuals who do not have one by hindering their ability to apply for a passport. The USPS Elgin employee should be educated better on the various identification options available and be made aware of the importance of providing equal treatment to all applicants, regardless of their background or circumstances.After I told her I was informed by an immigration officer in USCIS that I should apply for a passport prior to a driver's license, this lady in the Post Office told me. "I don't know who told you, but i'm doing this job every day, so I know it better. You need to provide a driver license with your new name. ( My citizenship paper and additional court order of Name changed already showed that I have my name officially changed and can be seen as an official identification.)I strongly urge USPS Elgin to take immediate action to address this matter appropriately. Either the employee in question needs to be thoroughly retrained and educated to perform her job competently and impartially, or she should be relieved of her duties. It is essential to ensure that USPS employees possess the necessary skills and knowledge to assist applicants effectively and without discrimination.I hope that this complaint will be taken seriously and that necessary measures will be implemented promptly to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future. I also encourage austin metro people to apply a passport through libraries. They have tons of availabilities, which you do not need to deal with the terrible services in Elgin usps. And library people are so friendly, unlike the USPS folks. I went to apply for my passport the next day after being rejected by this incompetent USPS employee. I saw my application has been submitted right in the system next week.

5 star is for postal clerk Maddy who assisted me with my passport application. This postal facility I would give 1 star since it is not wheelchair accessible. Was very challenging getting in and out of the building with a wheelchair. My gratitude to very kind patrons that helped me with holding the door open

Maddie was wonderful while processing mine and my disabled mothers passports. She is always kind and ready to help me when I go into the Elgin post office. She is an asset to the postal service.
