They're right around the corner and always smiling when I walk in. Feels all neighborly.

Bru City is a perfect venue for people that live around this taproom. There are well over 50 taps of unique and rotating craft beers that a local neighbor could stop in frequently and try new things or fill up a growler. I drove from Plano to give Bru City a try. I was not excited when I drove up to a gas station and walked into a convenience store. At the back of the very large store, is Bru City's tap room. While there is a taproom here, the overall feel is a convenience store. You hear the bell on the door ring every time a customer walks in. The most confusing and frustrating part of this place is that the convenience store carries hard to find and rare craft beers. There are coolers full of them. Some even sit on the checkout counter of the tap room. However, you cannot pay for the cans there. You must walk up to the front. When trying to pay for my flight and buy three rare bottles ($20 each) I was told to pay up front. I clarified about my flight and she said up front. I went up front and asked the man twice behind if he was charging for my flight. He just ignored me. I walked out to my car and decided to look at my receipt. I had not been charged for the flight. I had to walk back in and go to the tap room to pay for my flight. A little communication, friendliness and listening could have made this so much smoother. I'm sure I will not be back. I do not wish to sit in a convenience store when going to a taproom.

Pro choice unless you don't wear a mask! Focus on service and NOT peoples facemasks! NEVER shopping there again.

Last night as I entered, I was rudely told to wear a mask. I only stayed because I only had a short time, but I will be shopping at Goody Goody from now on, and I am mad that I spent over $100. That guy needs to practice how to approach a little nicer.

Definitely will not be going back. Me and my cousin went to the one in euless because we had a friend recommend it and the person we asked for help was a manager and we didn’t realize that at the time, I let him know if he could help us find a red wine, he asked what kind, and I told him I wasn’t sure. He pointed at 3 different locations around the store, mind you there’s ton of wines around those wines. So it took us a good 15 minutes before we found one. On top of that he followed us through the store while we where struggling to find a wine and never offered us his assistance. He even watched us as we where waiting in line to check out. Definitely very rude, will be spending my money else where.

Passing this place you may be thinking, "Wait, that place looks shady." or "Why are there so many damn pigeons outside? I feel like I am in a song by Sporty Thievz." These questions, and more will be answered. Let me first say, I really like this store. Being situated at Bear Creek and Harwood, I have options. The awesome new Circle K? That's pretty nice! The old Circle K across from this store? Not as much. This place is in a strip mall and looks like the type of place where you try to cash checks, or spend your whole check on the Lotto, so I can see why many may pass it by. For those of you that like your convenience store to feel like a head shop - this is it! Electronic machines with "~store credit up to $5 only~" behind a wall but in the open? This is your place! Inside the display you will find Kratom, CBD, "Hemp Bombs," paraphernalia for "tobacco use only," and ashtrays. I don't partake in that wack toback, but I know that if I did, this might be my place. They have a really big wine selection for a store this size, and a good variety in that. They have all your standard gas station fare, and have some really interesting varieties of Nootropic or CBD infused Bang energy, Kratom sweet teas and some obscure aqua frescas. They open at 6AM, and shortly after opening you will find the owner spreading bird seed on the far corner of the parking lot. He always looks so happy doing it, and that makes me happy. The number of pigeons that show up is unreal. Sometimes they have so many show up that passerbys take pictures. Never a dull morning. Certainly worth stopping in, for a change of pace or a great convo with ownership. The sweetest folks.
