Unprofessional. These guys were sub contracted by Wise Moving to do our move. They wre not careful with my fragile boxes. The owner complained all day. After making 2 trips with the truck I had to make 3 more trips with my car full of boxes and crates that they left behind. I hired movers so I wouldn't have to move things with my bad back, yet I still had to. They complained about how things were packed (packed by Wise Movers the company that hired them). Then they cherged me $300 extra because THEY dont take credit cards so they had to wait. I would never recommend these guys. And Wise should know better then to hire a 1 star company for their customers.

I highly recommend Midcities Movers! Mark and his crew packed and moved us into an apartment last summer and I was so pleased that I contacted them to move office furniture for our commercial location. I will definitely use them again! They take great care in making sure they handle your property with care and place everything exactly where you want it. These guys are the BEST! Thank you, Mark!

SCAM ALERT. Single handedly the worst moving experience of my life! Not only we're they late arriving but negligent and SLOW, it took SEVEN HOURS....yes 7 hours for them to move my husband and I out of our 1 bedroom/ 1 office apt to a storage unit 15 miles down the road. The total? $787...not an exaggeration. Of course on the phone I was told it should take anywhere from 3-5 hours. When asked why it was so much longer I was told "it's hard for me to know for sure" and that the elevator at our 4 year old apt building was too slow. I should also mention we didn't have a kitchen table and chairs, bed frame, and other large furniture items to move as I had sold a bit before our move out date. Not only did these so called "movers" stop to take a refreshments break on my dime, they also kicked multiple pieces of furniture around damaging my couch and dropped multiple boxes. I have no idea how many items are broken since our house won't be done for 60 days I can't yet confirm but I will update my review upon move in. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!!!

Worst service ever! I found them on Angi list and wanted a quote. The man called me early as can be. Who calls someone at 7am. I then reached back out to him and he quoted me. I thanked him for his time and explained that I don't have much stuff to move and they have a 3 hour minimum. He then stated "were you really looking for a moving service or did you plan to do this yourself" I told him I wanted to hire which is why I reached back out. After being very patient with his attitude he ended the call with "whatever". How insanely disrespectful and unprofessional. I will not contact him for moving services and I suggest you don't either. Seeing from these other reviews, this company is absolutely horrible. I don't know why Angi list even recommended them. WOW just WOW!!

Just don't use these guys. Cash only? Several items I can't find... didn't make it. They were careless and several of my possessions didn't arrive. They are taking advantage of people who need less expensive movers. Also they don't pay taxes since they accept cash only....I would never recommend them to anyone. I was burned.... Just sorry a** company...These people are criminals! I'm missing some of my valuable possessions. I contacted an attorney and hopefully they will get what they deserve. I don't know how they have gotten by with this criminal activity.

Terrible moving experience. The movers were unprofessional and price was not what was quoted on the phone. There are a lot of moving companies in the area I would strongly suggest you find another one.

The level(s) of unprofessionalism that I have experienced is astounding. Not only did Mark arrive FOUR hours late without warning, he proceeded to verbally abuse me and my family by telling us that because we were African American that we had no money to pay him. Mark stated he had two men working; when if fact, he only had one-a large framed man. Due to his lack of proper planning for his alleged business-This business holds zero certifications and no licensing with the stat

Due to his lack of proper planning for his alleged business-This business holds zero certifications and no licensing with the state of Texas-he proceeded to raise the previously discussed rates to double. As I inquired about the changes, not even bringing up the fact that he was four hours late and my husband took off work for this move, he told me that I didn't have any money, he interrupted every thing I had to say telling me that he was tired and didn't want to deal with any of this. He spoke to the other individual saying I don't have time for this-we are leaving. Mark moved me from a previous apartment into the current. 3 flights of stairs to now one flight. No new items in the current unit from the old but DOUBLE the price, because he is old and exhausted. Save yourself the heartache. If you're okay with your uncle's old, drunk buddies to help you move, go for it. But simply because he and his friend are racist, I wouldn't encourage using these movers.

They were okay. My couch had a scratch on it and I felt the man power could have been more. I had to help them with the move because they were moving too slow for. Overall they are okay.

The business keeps removing my review because it’s truth and I have pics LOL Check the DMV for their expired Certificate people. At the time of my move this company was NOT LICENSED/CERTIFIED by the Texas DMV to be moving furniture.PLEASE CHECK THE TEXAS TRUCK STOP DMV IN ORDER TO SEE IF MOVING COMPANIES ARE LICENSEDMid Cities Movers certificate had EXPIRED months before my move, they didn’t say anything about it and I didn’t find out until I was about to sue them for damaging my merchandise. (Almost 3500 in damages)I went through the proper steps in order to be reimbursed for the damages (tried speaking owner Mark, sent certified letter) but was ignored until I got a Lawyer involved.Even then, the lawsuit could not be pursued because they had filed “certain legal/Finance docs” in court which protects them from lawsuits. Lol these people are crooks and obviously knew what they were doing. Still taking customers without the proper certifications/license & damaging their goods with no intention of reimbursement because they can’t be sued.

I’ve used Mid-Cities movers twice and they have been great each time. They moved all of my things to the 3rd floor including drive time in under 2 hours. I was charged exactly what I was quoted, which I over budgeted that allowed for a nice tip. Mark was friendly and great with making sure that I knew how much to expect cost wise, when to expect the movers and that it was cash only. I’m going to continue to use them every time I need to move. I made the mistake of using a no name company and they jipped me, so I’ll stay safe with Mid-Cities!

Owner comes to our house and gives us an estimate of $800. He was really nice and assured us he had a full time crew of professional movers and a large truck that would easily fit all our belongings. He said he never uses day laborers.
