I had a really disappointing experience at the Cricket store in Fabens, and honestly, I just want to save other people from going through the same thing.
I went in looking for a phone case for my iPhone. The staff handed me one and told me—more than once—that it was made specifically for my phone model. I asked again because the design looked kind of off, and they kept reassuring me, “Yes, this is the one for your phone.”
Turns out, it absolutely wasn’t.
The case was a generic, universal design meant to fit multiple iPhones. It had this awkward, oversized camera cutout that made room for different camera layouts, but because of that, a noticeable part of the back of my phone was left completely exposed. The camera “fit,” but the case left a section of my phone vulnerable and looked cheap and clunky. So not only was it ugly—it didn’t even do its job as a protective case.
Later that day, I went to the Apple Store to compare, and that’s when it really hit me—I got completely scammed. At Apple, I found a clear, well-designed case that was actually made for my exact iPhone model, and guess what? It cost the same as the junk I bought at Cricket.
That’s when the frustration really kicked in.
I went back to the Cricket store to try to return the case, thinking maybe they’d understand or at least make it right. But nope—they told me, “Sorry, accessories can’t be returned.” No warning, no sign, nothing mentioned during the sale. The only place that policy shows up is in the fine print at the bottom of the receipt, which of course you only see after you’ve already paid and walked out with the product.
So just to sum it up: they don’t carry proper model-specific cases. They sell cheap, generic ones, lie to you and say it’s made for your phone, charge Apple Store prices, and then refuse to give you your money back when you realize the case doesn’t actually fit.
If you’re going to spend money on a case or any accessories, go straight to the Apple Store or a trusted retailer. At least you’ll get what you paid for.
This store feels like it’s just hoping people won’t notice they’re being misled. Cricket really needs to take a hard look at how this location is doing business.

This egg cricket wants you to buy everything they say!! People don't get carried away because they put more things in for you to take and they tell you it was a gift and it isn't!!! Because they charge you!! Don't get carried away!!!

My parents went the morning of Monday, April 4, 2022 looking for a phone case and the representative was rude and disrespectful. It is the first time they ever complain about the customer service from Cricket in this place.

the service couldn’t be worse !!! They just want the store to win and not have there customers satisfied....I came in to return a charger that was over heating my phone I took the receipt and the girls working there did not want to exchange it for another thing because I did not want again another charger that will be overheating my phone ...they told me to wait for the manager I left and went some time later to check if she was there she was worse than the girls that helped me the first time telling me it was not posible because it was a final sale,I had no idea of that because no where in the receipt does it say .... she was being rude and not trying to find the best solution worse place to be they have so little respect
