I currently go to college here and was needing some assistance with the food pantry. I came after I got off work before they closed but nobody was here to help me. I called several number and wasn't able to get any help at all. I've wasted over an hour waiting for someone (one of the several number I was in contact told me someone was going to show up and help me). I feel like this is a huge slap to the face because I did no wrong because the hours themselves show that it should be open yet no one is here.

Most poorly run bookstore on top of that no one ever picks up the phone. I have to drive there daily and they still don't have what I need. The people are nice once you get there in person but they never ever pick up the phone or call you back if you leave a message.

Worst experience with costumer service I've ever dealt with. Have been trying to reach this bookstore for 2 weeks with no phone answer or email correspondence. Finally received an email today, all was stated was "Thanks, Alex."There has been no help whatsoever. Employees do not answer phones or emails.

This bookstore is a joke. I am supposed to be renting and ebook for my current class. The ebook does not load. It only loads the title page but once I go to the next page it continues to load and never does load. I emailed Alex the manager and he told me that he would not give me a refund because their computer system says I read 10% of the book. It’s quite comical actually, to have read 10% of a book that I can’t even open. I will never do business with this book store again I found a paperback copy WAY cheaper on amazon.

I was old when I started classes at Brookhaven, I was older when I left there. I studied Tai Chi from a well known master at Brookhaven College from 1998 to 2017. I studied Tai Chi off and on for about 13 years. Glen, the Tai Chi instructor also taught Biology at Brookhaven College. He told me about 10 years ago that virus's are not alive. He said, Mark, their not living things!" Say it isn't so Glen. That was 10 years ago. Now there's a killer virus out there. I included chart material borrowed from the internet, I didn't create them (they don't include transitions or turnarounds). The charts are from various Tai Chi forms I studied from Glen. The long form taught at Brookhaven College contains moves from just about all these forms. Tai Chi started in China about the year 800 in the year of our Lord. Only men were allowed to practice the forms until about 100 years ago. Chinese woman's lib I guess. I enjoyed it. At my age I don't go low or do anything fancy, I could when I was a young man, but never underestimate the dragon. He can punch very hard and throw you down very hard without going low or jumping around like an acrobat. Beware, he would be difficult to grasp. It was worth the effort and I would sincerely like to thank all the people at Brookhaven College who made it possible for all of us practitioners who had the interest and desire to learn Tai Chi. Regardless if you are still there or sitting on beach in California, THANK YOU for your devoted service and not turning your back on humanity. Most of all, Thank You Glen for taking time out your busy schedule to teach us practitioners some awesome Tai Chi Quan moves. It was fun, It was real, and no one can ever take it away. Good-Bye and have a great retirement!

I am in rolled in a dual credit class for English 1301 and 1302 at my high school through Brookhaven. Brookhaven assigns Mindtap assignments are basically online reviews where are you answer multiple-choice questions over a small reading about grammar or logical fallacies. These online assignments are submitted for grading and account for a large portion of the semester grade. I have consistently found these assignments are strangely formatted, poorly worded. I find myself receiving lower grades on topics I completely understand because of the poor online system. I also have discovered many errors in the grading system; answers that were correct but the system marked them wrong due to coding errors. I had to go to my professor and email him with a screenshot every time I caught an error like this. Students who didn't discover this suffered their grades. Overall, Brookhaven English has great essay writing assignments but it's online grading system and online assignments are horrible. This is just my opinion of the class through my experiences with its online websites, but it aggravates me to no end that a college level class has so many errors in its core curriculum. You figure that someone should be taking these quizzes and checking if the answers are correct before sending them out to students.

Don't trust them, they bought one of my books back which is fine but I then received a random charge for almost $40 from the bookstore and was not given any notice through call or email basically took my money. Kind of ironic how uneducated people who work at a college can be lol.

I ordered a book online from them on the second day of the Fall 2019 semester. I was sent an email saying they didn't have my book in stock and that they would order it for me. The email said they would send me updates via email on when my book is ready. It is the 21st of September (I ordered it on the 27th of August) and I have received ZERO confirmation from them about anything, yet my account has still been charged. I had to order the book off of Amazon with same day shipping because a quiz was coming up and I still didn't have a chance to read the material. Extremely unsatisfied with my experience.

There're good and bad things. But I enjoy being here. If they have free ice for drink during hot days, it's gonna be perfecto!

I can't attest to this being the worst school in the dcccd but I can definitely say that based off of my experience, people here hate their jobs, they genuinely don't try to help you. They look at you as if your sheep and their trying to heard you out the door as quick as they can leaving you with the least amount of help as possible. When "getting help" they will look at you and already have an answer for you before you even open your mouth. The bookstore ran me around in circles having me leave and come back and wait hours just to retrieve books I bought and got a notification about them receiving while proceeding to tell me my books weren't there when they were IN FACT there. Honestly If you want people who care I suggest going to Mountain View they have the best service I've ever experienced out of the few dcccd schools that I've attempted getting assistance at.
