I’m generous giving three Stars - Today I experienced the opposite of Customer Service.
I went in to purchase an international drivers license (IDL). The older man asked me what I needed, I told him, and he immediately told me that the photos I had were not sufficient, and that they had to be “professionally printed”. This is not my first IDL, more like the 6th thru AAA. I had a sheet of image quality rows of 2”x2” photos, as required. He proceeded to tell me that the photos were not the right size. I assured him they were and that I’ve done this many times. He then told me that the photos needed to be cut out. So of course I ask if he can cut them and he said “no”. Ok, so I proceed to ask if he had scissors that I could use to cut them - can you guess what’s next? He literally told me that I could not borrow scissors to cut them out lol.
I went across the street to Target with the intention of paying $13 for a pair of scissors…Thankfully I was texting my wife at the time. She suggested that I ask to borrow scissors rather than buying, so I did. Walked up to customer service, see 6 pairs, and was able to cut the photos out.
I returned to AAA, found a new team member, and had a great experience - I even asked if they had any water, and he grabbed me a bottle of water.
Get this - AAA members can receive free photos for an IDL. Why did the first guy not just ask if I was a AAA member and suggest that he could take a new photo and print them for me?!!!

Christie spent 45 minutes with us gathering out travel requests. She stated she would have something for us to look out in a week.
It is going on three weeks and she hasn't responded to emails or voice mails. It is impossible to reach a person in the office. I am very disappointed with AAA.

Called Carlos Padron to help me find a life insurance policy. He knew exactly what I needed and helped me with the process. He is very knowledgeable and charismatic. Definitely recommend him for anyone that needs life insurance!

I really dont suggest this office. Been to this office based on my friend's suggestion. They dont even offer you a chair to sit.
1. The Sales guy is a gem only until you purchase the product. After that your number goes to his blacklist or goes to his Voicemail, no matter what.
2. The Notary services, I am really not sure what they do. Any document that you take, they say they do not do it. Please go to a UPS store.
3. 3/5 times, you cannot expect the front desk guy to receive the calls during any time. Have been trying Morning, Noon, or after 4 PM or before 5 PM, no one responds.
4. They just increase the insurance price without any intimation or consent. No reason, you just have to pay.

Well after 3 years of going into the AAA Flower mound office 5-6 times asking for help with my sky rocketing car insurance and getting no help, here I am. The 2 guys at the front door were great . But unfortunately the car insurance reps were not at all helpful. I started asking around to other insurers the last 2 years . Found out they all had good driving record programs for discounts on car insurance based on driving scores. AAA had never mentioned that to me the many times I have gone in the last few years. This year I went in and asked AAA about the program , the response was “well, I usually tell people about that ?”. Obviously nothing from multiple reps ever got said to me about the program?? So they put me on it , and it would take a year to get results and get a 25- 30% discount. Well , I was very disappointed they had failed to mention the program and now it was going to take a year to get a discount. I called corporate, that was a joke with all the bots trying to help me , when I finally got a person there was nothing they could do . Well , I even mentioned I heard car insurance companies were starting to lower there rates in Texas , but not AAA. So I called another well know car insurance company, found out there rate after 4 months had come down to better then AAA’s. I switched , it is $200 a year cheaper and their driving program offers a potential of %50 discount based on your driving score , and it is given after just 6 months. AAA was only up to %30 . So after 21 years I’m saying good bye to AAA , it’s not the same company it used to be . The reps used to help get your rates lower , and make sure you were getting all the discounts. Then all the bots at the corporate office are a joke , their app no longer is helpful in figuring choices , I was told that the rep I was talking to said they heard another person last week complaining about AAA’s app not working very well in Texas !! Very disappointed AAA it has come to me leaving after 21 years . Good bye !

No point to make an appointment I guess because they don’t give you any priority over other people. Then tell you it’s not a problem it’s TSA problem. Yeah OK.

I stopped in to the Highland Village location today to get my international driver's license. The guys at the front desk were very friendly and super helpful. They clearly take pride in their work. Keep it up and thank you!

This office has been helpful in the past, and AAA battery service and roadside assistance is great, but I do not recommend for travel planning unless you want to take a cruise or purchase a packaged trip. I waited weeks and weeks (and weeks) for information, before deciding to plan an upcoming trip on my own.
