About Bakersfield Park
Bakersfield Park is a fantastic, huge, and well-kept park. It is clean, safe, and has amazing green grass. The park is large and spacious with lots of field and sports options, including athletic fields for baseball, soccer, softball, football, lacrosse, and cricket. It features a Frisbee golf course and walking trails that connect to other local parks. The fields are nice and kept up, with goals of various sizes, though the soccer fields are for city-sponsored play only. There is a covered pavilion for gatherings and concession stands are available. The park is dog-friendly. The facilities are great, with clean and working public restrooms available at the sports fields, though they might be locked when events are not happening. Parking is ample with lots of parking spots, although the layout can mean a long walk to the fields on busy days. A noted downside is a lack of shade for spectators at the small fields. The fields are usually closed after rain to maintain the turf, as some areas have drainage issues. Overall, it is a very nice, convenient, peaceful, and enjoyable park.
Soccer fields are well maintained and they have bleachers and benches for the players and fans. I do wish the grass was a little bit shorter, but it’s full and green

Went to the Independence Day event, and it was so fun!! It is easy to find great seating. There was a good array of vendors for shopping and snacking. Entertainment was top-notch, and fireworks were fantastic. They even provide free business to and from parking lots. I highly recommend it and will be going back next year!!
