Dr. Antonio Barksdale is one of the finest, greatest, prominent Family Doctors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He is the greatest Physician in the whole wide world. He has excellent bed-side manners. I have been Dr. Antonio Dion Barksdale patient going on over 12 years. He is remarkable, impeccable, outstanding. When I think of him tears roll from my eyes. He is genuine, when I think of how sweet he is, I can't do nothing but cry. He brought my diabetes under control to an excellent A1C level. He put me on the Ozempic shot, I lost over 90 pounds, He put me on Jardiance and my kidneys improved to almost perfect level. When I request a refill on my medication or need advice concerning an upcoming appointment. Dr. Barksdale never failed never not one time to aid to my rescue. Never met a Physician like him before he is just so kind and understanding, he takes the time to Listen, to what's bothering you. Then he takes notes, look into his computer and diagnose & analyse what's causing you hurt& pain then he prescribe the best solution to your illness. Words cannot express Dr. Barksdale genuine kindness it's beyond anything imaginable. Dr. Barksdale saved my life, my blood pressure had dropped way too low . Dr. Barksdale sent me the Cadence blood pressure machine and the weight scales.I took my blood pressure and the bottom number was 44. The Cadence team immediately called me and said I was about to die, and I did what they told me to do and I started feeling better. I would not be here today if it was not for the Lord & Dr. Barksdale on my side. Dr. Barksdale has some of the greatest staff and Nurses money can buy. His personnel make you feel so at home and relaxed. One day my ride took too long to pick me up to take me home, and his sweet kind staff brought me lunch. I love going to Dr. Barksdale office you just leave with a good feeling. Feeling Blessed like your problems & Prayers has been answered. God Bless Dr. Barksdale & Family & his staff & Nurses.

I was seeing Jose Ortiz PA at this office and was trying to receive treatment for weight loss but prior for other things. He always seemed in such a rush. This last time I saw him for weight loss he said all the weight loss injections were covered which I told him they were not, only one specific pill was. They tried to call in injections anyway and it wasn’t covered. About two weeks of back and forth phone calls and messages and finally got a prescription called in but saw it wasn’t the same dosage as last time so I asked for the other dosage via email. They sent me back a message stating they don’t change dosage on female via phone call. I did not demand anything I asked. She continued to say she did not want to call me to tell me this because she didn’t want to upset me. I have only been upset due to their lack of responding and it taking days to weeks. She continued to say she spoke with management and suggested another Dr in the practice. Why? So they can be rude and lie about what is going on? No thank you

Dr. Barksdale is great. His receptionist was on her phone and did not even look up to greet me. I even waited her to notice me before saying anything, and she still did not acknowledge me, until I said something. He is such a great doctor, but his receptionist can improve their service.

Dear THR, I was turned away and asked to seek care from another provider even though there was appts available. Their excuse to send me away was because I cancelled prior visits and established a new provider within the same organization. Well to your excuse, the new provider I switched to does not offer virtual visits. Thank you Domenicia Blackwell and to your rude nurse practitioner for turning me away, shows the importance you have in your patients. I would not recommend this location or this dr to anyone.

Dr. Barksdale is an amazing doctor, he communicates really well, give you the best solutions to your concerns and spend time with his patients to make sure that all of their needs are met. I was nervous about having a male Dr. but now, I am so glad that I do. Thanks Antonio and crew.

I am a patient of Dr. Barksdale but lately I cannot get an appointment to see him. I am always scheduled with his NP. I was scheduled for Oct with Dr. Barksdale. I finally got an appointment for June. I would love to see Dr. Barksdale, he is my primary physician. The NP on my last visit was very rushed. I felt like some of my concerns were no covered she totally just skipped right over them. If I cannot see the doctor I will have to find me another doctor. I feel as if I am not a valued patient.

Unfortunately I have no where else to go. But I do not recommend this doctors office. You're constantly the one calling for lab results or rescheduling appointments when it's their job to call you for these things. Also the way they delivered the news of my diagnosis was very insensitive and harsh. I do however enjoy seeing one nurse who goes above and beyond in her work her name is Christy.

Dr. Barksdale and his staff are consistently amazing. They are kind, patient, professional and do the little things to show that they are a caring group of people. Malory at the check in window is always welcoming and I always have a positive experience in their office. If you are in the Forney area and want an excellent primary care doctor I confidently recommend Dr. Barksdale.

Two days before, I was contacted and told they did not accept my insurance, when they did in August when it was scheduled.I asked the lady on the phone in Aug if she was purposefully trying to demolish this business, because she did not seem to WANT to make an appointment! Not sure if the doctor is aware of what is going on.....but it seemed suspicious to me.

I have always had a very hard time trusting Dr’s. I found Dr Barksdale last January and he has been amazing. I will never go see another Dr as long as he is around. Whenever I can’t see him and have to see Katherine it is always just as amazing. All of the doctors in this office truly listen and provide the best care possible based off your complaints. After seeing a specialist for 3 years for my diabetes I was still living in the 500 glucose range. After my first three months of seeing Dr Barksdale and his team I now live in the 90 - 200 range and my A1C is below 8’s. Still not where we want it to be but better then where it was above 12. Not to mention his staff. Very professional, compassionate, caring, and always greeting you with a smile!! Especially Mallory, she is absolutely amazing and these Dr’s are so blessed to have her on their staff.
