I just picked up my dog after an extended holiday stay and he had SOLID POOP stuck to his bottom. When I called to report my issue, I was given an EXCUSE instead of an apology for the oversight. Our almost $400 stay at VCA Forney included old, dried, HARD feces and NO offer to CORRECT the problem or make things right AT ALL! I give them 2 stars but no more of my money for boarding. ✌?

VCA just ripped my family off. My dogs were there for boarding at the Forney location. At no point in time did they ever say my dogs needed an exam and vaccinations. I dropped my dogs off and signed paperwork thinking this is normal paperwork. When my wife went to pick them up we had to pay an additional 300 dollars for services we did not ask for. At no point during scheduling or drop off did they say anything. I think this is shady business practice and you all should be ashamed of yourselves. No refund or trying to make this right.

Sweet nurses and kind doctors. Wouldn’t recommend doing a plan though. I started one and then they renewed it and continued charging me. I was told I could get a refund and would get a call. After calling multiple times I finally got an email saying they wouldn’t refund me. This kind of ruined my experience with them.

The front desk staff is friendly, doctors/techs extremely kind, helpful, and thorough. Everything is super clean. They treated my cat so well!

My senior dog recently passed in her sleep/naturally. She was a 15+ year rescue old with severe heart complications and had been on medication/borrowed time for two years. I knew the day would come but it was still extremely difficult for me. That morning I called VCA and they were very gentle with me over the phone. I brought her in and again they were so considerate. When I went back to pick up her paw print, they had each signed a sympathy card and the receptionist gave her condolences. I'm so thankful for the way they handled me/us. Thank you VCA.

Once again, horrible experience! In the past, every time we called or had an appointment, we encountered a rude, unprofessional service from the front desk, particularly from one lady, who has no manners and no customer service skills. She always treated us with a bad attitude and showed no compassion for our pet situation. Moreover, the very last time we encountered her, she literally raised her voice and did not care about the emergency we had with our dog. The only reason we were still considering this place is because of Dr. Chambless, who is truly an excellent vet in all aspects. However, a few days ago we decided to call again for an appointment to address our dog constipation and stomach issues, and they told us they are unable to help, and we should take our pet to the ER. I never heard about a vet sending a client to the ER because of constipation! This was the breaking point for us as we will never go back to this place. Unfortunately, we are losing Dr. Chambless as our vet, but luckily, there are many other clinics who provide a good service and treat customers and pets with care and empathy.

Perhaps you should call me instead. You should have my number. This is your response to every bad review. You need to take the initiative to keep patients not the other way around.

Front Desk staff was not the Friendliest, however, the doctor and assistant were fantastic. They really cared and spent time with our very senior dog, who needs lots of attention. They were friendly and very compassionate.

Dr. Chambless and the staff were all amazing. Dr. Chambless took his time explaining everything in simple terms so that I could understand it. I highly recommend VCA of Forney.

Prices are fair, staff is professional and thoughtful. Receptionists are informative and understanding. Very clean clinic. Lisa and her assistants are so good at handling my trouble-maker cat. They also email me a PDF of the invoice which is very helpful when submitting a claim to my pet insurance provider. I highly recommend taking your fur babies to VCA Forney Animal Hospital.

Hands down, the very best! Dr Chambliss has been seeing all 3 of our dogs for a while now. One of our dogs was diagnosed with cushings disease a little over a year ago. Needless to see he has to see her often as she goes through the tough times. Every time we go, the staff and Dr C are so loving and caring and squeeze her in each time she is in need. Dr C is so informative each time (and even draws pictures to help me understand.) They never seem rushed and answer all of my questions. We are so very appreciative of them!

Moved to Texas in June. Started my dog on heartworm meds in May. Missed last month and called VCA to ask if I can resume or if she needs another Heartworm test. I was told they can't give the heartworm test without an exam and scheduled an appt for me two weeks out - their earliest availability. I called another local vet who explained I can just resume because it takes 6 or 7 months after being bitten for heartworm to show up on the tests so since we just missed one month mftr says to resume. I then did a web search and found same answer. Cancelled the appt with VCA and won't be going back there. But will definitely be going to the caring vet that gave me good advice and didn't try to make a buck unnecessarily.

I will never take my dog or any animal back to this place. We have a pure bred Alaskan Malamute and we took her in for grooming. The groomer called and said that she would need to be shaved down because of matting, When they brought my dog out after I paid I l was horrified. They completly shaved her all cover except her head and tail. Her skin was exposed and she didn't even look like the same dog. When I asked to speak to someone and asked why they didn't tell me everything of how bad it was I was told that they don't know what people know and don't know. I will never take another animal to this place as communication is not what it seens and then when they are called out they act innocent and don't own up to their lack of giving clear communication

Tragic AccidentI took my dog, a pit Bull, here for boarding several times. The last visit led to my dogs death. She somehow got out of her kennel and other gates and was running on highway 80 and got hit by a car. They tried to save her but were not successful. This facility and/or it’s employees may not be suited for large breed dogs.
