Meats are good. But the vegies are hit and miss. If youre plant lover like me they sell plants in a decent price and they are really healthy plants.

What can I say. The place is a dump. Whoever designed the parking spaces hopefully is not in the same profession. I feel bad for the handicap people having to park in the middle of the road because someone put the concrete barriers almost dead center of the parking space. Right next to Mexico and the fruit is dead rotten. Eggs still $11 bucks for the barely decent kind. Staff is nice though.

I remember it was a privilege to be a service member and shop at the commissary. The quality of produce is poor because they use a third party. Their surcharge is more expensive than tax, especially when Texas is tax free state for food. Even though they aren’t cheaper off post anymore. They still have baggers in 2023 that expect a large tip after you’ve been taxed on your food so called surcharge.

This commissary is one of the best. They are well stocked, and they have a great fresh food section. They also have really good prices. The batteries are about to half the price of other stores. I highly recommend this grocery store.

It's decent but lately, there's been a decline in produce quality. Most of the time, I shopped here for produce but in recent visits I feel that the quality has decreased and there are far less options available. The prices have also skyrocketed on all their products and that's not a good thing because military families depend on the commissary to provide competitive prices so they don't have to pay exorbitant prices at supermarkets out in town. However, this has been a trend I've observed over the last few years and it's not worth it any more, in my opinion because both the PX and the commissary have managed to close the gap in prices to where it doesn't make a difference whether you shop on base or off. Not cool at all. Where's the help that the DoD benefits are supposed to bring to military families that give up so much to serve and protect the country?

I really wish the store would open up more registers or both ends of the self checkout. It'll be so many ppl waiting for self checkout, and only 3 registers open. I've seen the line backed up to the deli section and store still didn't open more registers

They have been stepping up their game lately. I would consider them to have an excellent selection of items you might need, they even had stuff Walmart has been out of lately. They also stock all the Fairlife milks which are incredibly expensive anywhere else. I was also very impressed with the amount of energy drinks, and sports related food - such as meal replacement bars, etc. I think I’m going to ditch Walmart for awhile and continue to make the trip here. Much better prices.

Place is fine. Don’t park near the grocery cart lots the idiots that push the carts go between the cars. I have a nice visible scratch on my passenger side door now. Thanks a lot.

It isn't too bad, dont see many staff around like Walmart/Target. I didnt buy any fresh produce, however, other items have a relatively cheaper price like at 50cents less minimum, some r like dollars cheaper. They have a small section of international food, u can get sth from UK, Germany and Asia.

I witness today how an employee down talked an Veteran this was heartbreaking to watch. The commissary employees should be there to help and assist on the self check out. But to witness the frustration she displayed toward the Elderly customers was just a shame on the entire Fort Bliss commissary and management. When the Elder voiced is complaint to the manager. The manager just dismissed him. So I walked up to vouch for the men. And I was dismissed as well by both managers on the floor. Sad to see management so heartless and no one should be discriminated because of their skin color.

Well, yes some veggies sit out there for too long.. personally I wouldn't buy any poultry anymore, I bought some chicken and kept it it cold in a bag until I got home, the next day the chicken already smelled and was slimy. Happened too many times... in general, just watch the expiration date and check your veggies and fruits! ( Btw, Other commissaries are better maintained, by experience)
