Cozy spot for all things Fort Davis. The hospitality was top notch. It was my 50th and they ran to town to fully equip our room with amenities- birthday brownies, coffee maker, and a microwave magically showed up just for me. Cheers!

Great spot in downtown Fort Davis! Our room was quite spacious and very clean. We loved having a fire in the fireplace, and there is a great little pub attached next door that is great for grabbing dinner and a cold beer.

What an amazing and relaxing stay! Cottage #2 was a perfect stay. Super clean. Great location in town. Good parking and the Taproom being open out front of the cottage was a real nice addition. We will definitely stay again when back in Fort Davis!

I stayed in the adorable, well decorated cottage 2 at the Butterfield Inn in Ft. Davis, TX. Check-in instructions were clear and the parking was right in front of the entrance gate. Welcoming courtyard and great outdoor space. The bed was comfortable and the location quiet. Quiet because there isn't much around in terms of restaurants or shops. The reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars were simple maintenance and hospitality details. Easily fixed, but overlooked. The first being the basket for coffee, etc was empty. The coffee maker and mugs do me little good with no coffee. (I saw in photos on the website that the basket *should* have coffee packets, etc.) The second being the soap and shampoo in the shower. The shampoo pump was totally broken off and missing and the body wash was so low, none would come out. These are simple details that could've made my stay 5 stars. I appreciate the details in decor I know work went into it, but those simple issues either show a lack of caring or were simply overlooked and either way, for the price paid, it was disappointing.
Nearby activities: McDonald observatory is nearby and world famous, but check hours before visiting.

Enjoyed the cabin we stayed in. Room was decorated nicely, quiet, really soft sheets! Easy check in check out. Outdoor area has beautiful flowers throughout and outdoor seating.

MacDonald Observatory
Food and drinks: Only restaurant that was really open was Mexican. All others that we saw online were no longer serving food or closed up. They do have a grocery store though.

Great location right next to the Sky Island Taproom. Room was top notch with comfortable bed and all the amenities of a 5 star experience. Beautiful place, cool locals to hang out with. Will return many times in the future. What a local gem!

Great place to stay in Fort Davis! Private cottages, quiet fenced in courtyard. The staff was very friendly. My second time here, and I'm sure I'll stay again in the future!

Clean, bed was comfortable. Love the couch. Hot hot water. For a small town, it was a cute place to stay. We enjoyed being there. And I personally loved the wagon, brought all of our(wife’s) stuff in one

Butterfield Inn has a perfect location. Easy access to shops, restaurants and the McDonald observatory. We loved the real fireplace and the logs were supplied by the management. Beds were comfortable and our cottage was very clean. I wish I could give it 100 stars.

Nice little Cottages located right off of the main street (State Street). Self contained cottage with mini-fridge, microwave, mini coffee pot, fireplace, kingsize bed, 1 bath with hair dryer, Nice courtyard with a BBQ pit. We enjoyed our stay as we visited Historic Fort Davis National site (2 miles away) and McDonald Observatory (17 miles away).

Such a cute place! Just on our way back to AZ and this a a nice place to stop for the day. It's in a small town and it was a Monday so only a few things open but tried the Mexican place down the street. Got food to go. The AC was great and the hosts were always just a text away if you needed anything. Beds are comfy and the room is clean. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a quiet and comfy place to stay.

Worst experience ever!!! Rooms were hot, beds were very hard...no room service, had to chase down some random person for toilet paper bc the owners were out of town!!!!

These cottages are perfect. Nicely decorated (and not over decorated), comfortable bed and nice recliner for watching TV. The courtyard is a little oasis off the main street. You can walk to coffee or dinner and are just a short drive to Davis Mountain State Park. I will definitely stay here again.
