Some times it's very hard to get through to the office on telephone. The staff is fabulous. The miliktary Vetnarians are great, they do rotate quite a bit due to deployments and PCSing. The Vetnarian Technicians are both military and civilian, are loving to their animal patients (dogs, cats, horses). My dog loves them all, and the clerks sign us in as soon as we pull up outside, we are regulars. The annual check-up, vaccines (3 year) rabies, distemper, parvo, and nasal bordatella and occasional cytopoint (allergy injection) is very affordable for my dogs size.I love Bringing my dog to Fort Cavazos (Hood) Veterinary Clinic.

They took my dog out of the room and gave her a flu shot without my knowledge or permission. I didn't know until I needed a copy of the record for another vet. I called to speak with someone about this, was told they never take the dogs out of the room for vaccines and the OIC would call, she didn't. We are very surprised because we have always had wonderful care here.

Better luck on getting in touch with a celebrity than trying to get these people to answer the phone. Located inside the "Great Place", hard to say what's so great about this place if we have services that suck here.

Expensive, you have to call 3 times till you get an appointment because they don't plan long forward.

Most disrespectful staff.I called to get my two dogs a handful of things done so they are cleared to PCS with us. I spoke to a male on a Thursday at around 1430 just before a 4 day weekend. We ran through everything that we needed done. I was told that out appointment was going to be at 1500 the following Tuesday. While I was on my way (25 mile drive) to the clinic I received a phone call from my wife telling me that I needed to go home and they won’t see us. We are banned from using the clinic for six months. I had asked her why and what happened and her response was that we missed our appointments. They where scheduled at 1300 and 1345. That’s two “no show” and now we are banned from the clinic. I went ahead and proceeded to the clinic. Once I arrived I walked in and spoke to three people sitting behind the front desk. I explained the situation and how I was under the impression that the appointment was at 1500. One of the women had a smirk on her face like this was funny. I waited 25 minutes to speak to someone with a higher rank and explained the situation to her. No resolution. I’m 90% sure and a strong 90% that the appointment was at 1500 and 100% sure I was told one time and not two separate times. I was told that they called twice to confirm the appointment the next day which was a Friday. That’s a complete lie. The clinic was closed since it was a four day weekend. I checked my phone as well as my wife’s phone. The only phone call that we received was that we where banned. My wife went in to ask to speak to the commander about the situation and was informed that she was in surgery and she had an appointment to speek to her in person the next morning at 930. My wife showed up over an hour early and when she was walking in at 915 the woman she was having an appointment with walked out. My wife even held the door open for her. My wife preferred to speak to this woman in person and not over the phone. Hours later my wife gets a call from the commander explaining that that’s their policy for “no show”. I find that to be to the extreme. For people working at a veterinary clinic you’d think that they want to help people and their animals. Not this place. All they want to do is sit around and talk about social media and tic toc. People make mistakes. We are human and we all mess up sometimes. I’m very time oriented and never late to anything. If I’m going to be late or even think I will be late I give a courtesy call. Im almost certain that this mistake was on the office staff. I could be wrong but like I said Im a sting 90% sure that this falls in the lap of the male that made the appointment. If you made a mistake just own up to it. It’s not that big of a deal. For the woman that thought the situation was funny. I hope that you can grow from this and learn better customer service skills. God was a witness to what happened and knows the truth. Karma will return the favor to those who have wronged me and my family in due time.

Honestly the worst experience and customer service I’ve ever experienced. I adopted my fur baby from the fort Cavazos animal shelter and was told I could go right across the street and schedule his neuter appointment and that this clinic was great and fairly priced. The lady at the front desk informed me she would not even schedule me I could come back in October. I informed her the shelter requires proof of an appointment and if there’s anything they could give me just to say hey they couldn’t schedule the neuter until after this date. She replied that she understood and that she was sure I could find somewhere else. Honestly will never be back here. I understand all you do is sit at a desk and schedule appointments all day but you could at least provide the lowest level of customer service.

The staff was nice and they treated me and my puppy respectfully. That said, I showed up 15 minutes early and wasn't seen until 10 minutes after my scheduled time despite only 1 other person being there. The appointment was an initial checkup and second round of vaccinations. I was there for a little over an hour, majority of it waiting. I'm giving 3 stars because they did what they needed to, but took double/triple the amount of time necessary.
