“Where to begin... was referred to me by a friend of mine after I had mentioned that I had lost an earring belonging to a set that has much sentimental value to me. Knowing that I would need to make a new jewelry piece with the existing necklace pendant and earring, I went to see the team over at Shetler and immediately knew I had gone to the right place. I consulted with Pilar who knew how much I cherished my original earring and necklace set. I explained what I was imagining and was able to walk around to look at the gorgeous pieces in store for some inspiration. With creative minds from Pilar and Blake, we came up with a ring design that brought out some emotion because while I know my mom (who gave me the original set) will be disappointed that I lost a piece, she'll love the creativity that went into the new ring. “I took a precious heirloom gold ring with a blue topaz center stone that I needed to have sized. The ring was worn every day for many years before it was given to me. The gold had a lot of scratches, and the center stone had been so scratched that the top of it looked opaque and cloudy. Along with the sizing, I asked if he would buff out the scratches on the gold.In one week he had my ring ready and it looked like new. The blue topaz came alive! The scratches were gone, the stone was a deep blue and brilliant which highlighted the special facets of the texas star in the center. I am so happy with his work that I will take all my jewelery there from now on!”
“I had an heirloom diamond necklace from my late grandmother (that was actually her original engagement ring) that I brought in to be remade into a more practical piece of jewelry I would be able to wear on a daily basis. Oscar et al created a beautiful solitaire and eternity band that is not only more modern and my own personal style, but more wearable than the necklace ever would have been. He was also able to create both of these in less than two weeks. Jackie was also incredibly helpful in the design process. Superb customer service. Simply incredible! 10/10 would recommend. I will be back to rework other heirloom jewelry into more wearable pieces.”

“12 Jun 2023We nearly always come here for watch battery replacements and minor jewelry repairs. We have never made a major purchase. They stock and sell rings, necklaces and watches. Big on Citizen Eco. They can be depended on to replace watch batteries while you wait for a reasonable price in almost any watch. Once they were hesitant to replace the battery in one of my Tags, because the battery had to be ordered. I've had a gold necklace clasp changed to a lobster-style clasp. They did a nice job, not damaging the necklace. Give them a try.”

“This shop is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown San Antonio. It is located right above the Riverwalk and has a unique and gorgeous collection of glass art, ornaments, artwork, and jewelry. The owner is very nice and has an obvious passion for collecting and curating beautiful things. I picked up a couple earrings from Suzanne Schaars (Netherlands) and Sandrine Giraud (Paris) that will go with my modern, minimalist aesthetic. “I visited Phillip Simon today based on his 4.9 rating and the character of his reviews. I found that he exceeded my expectations both as a friendly and knowledgable watchmaker, but also with regard to price. My watchband had broken and there was a spring loaded bar that held it in place. Well, when it broke, a piece of the bar was stuck in the hole where it sits. So he had to get in there to dislodge the broken piece before reattaching a new bar. In the end, even though it took much more labor than a usual bar replacement, he still did not charge me for the service or the new bar. I tried to offer him something, but he insisted that he does not charge for that. So I told him I'd repay his kindness by leaving him a good review. He earned it!”
