Great place to have a drink. No food but that's ok. Bartenders are attentive and quick with a drink.

Classic pub. Check it out. Dark, cool, Guinness on top, TV, good tunes, what more could you ask for?

LOVED this place. It's like the little bar you go to where half of the people are regulars. It was quiet and doesn't look like a bar that you would be served one of the best lemon drop martinis you ever had, yet there we were. If you are staying at the Omni or near the convention center (this place is right behind it) stop by, we had a great time and great conversation with the bartender and I wish I had caught his name. If you're looking for fancy, this isn't the place but if you are looking for a quiet bar, good conversation and a great place. Don't pass this one up.

If you're looking for a casual location downtown to watch a game or cut up with some new people, Malone's is your place. Another establishment where you go and make new friends every time you set foot in the door. They have a full drink menu and every beer you'd ever need. And the bartender working that night was on his game. Super friendly and interesting. Such a fun talk and a fun time. If the atmosphere is your thing, look no further than Malone's! Go check them out!

Great old school joint across from the convention Center, fair selection of beers, good cocktails. Local characters make for interesting conversations. Velton is a great bartender, like in Billy Joel song,"quick with a joke and to light up your smoke" Try his version of a Moscow mule! Will return to this place

When you want a cocktail without swapping out of your Dallas Stars gear, all those south downtown steakhouse options aren't going to cut it. A work colleague mentioned he was headed to his favorite after-work drinking spot, Malone's Pub, and I tagged along due to both geographical convenience and zero motivation to change my t-shirt. I'd been there before, albeit with a multi-year gap between visits. Malone's added a pleasant patio on its Calhoun Street entrance before the smoking ban went into effect. I walked past the empty outdoor tables and inside the very dimly lit shotgun-style space. Surprisingly, every seat at the rail but one was already taken by 5pm, which is a good sign for a joint that doesn't serve food. What was different from my last sojourn to Malone's was the intense smokiness, and a non-internet-connected music system. The bartender said the original jukebox broke a few times, and eventually their vendor made them switch to the digital version. Anyone who has been trapped in a bar near a drunk dude with $20 in his hand and a thing for Staind should pour one out for the loss of the vintage machine that was always loaded with local CDs and tunes. Other than those insignificant changes, Malone's Pub remains a damn decent place to post up for a no-frills drink that won't break the bank and the staff is no nonsense in the best sort of way.

Francine is the best bartender around you can't go wrong hanging out with her. This Izzy chick must have some issues. I.e. Daddy. Oh yeah and that Felton guy rocks.

There is this extremely rude bartender who I guess didn't think our ID's were real, or idk maybe she wanted 2 forms of ID or a passport apart from our state ID's, lol her name was Franchesca or Fernanda. The lady bit the state ID as if it was a f****** gold coin. Shiver me timbers! We drank our beer and left, very bad vibe.

Man it's been a min since I've been here. Changed a lot for the better lol. Haven't been here in like 10+ years, what I remember it was a lot more rough and divey. Now it's a clean decent looking bar. I came in with my brother just before last call, bartender was friendly and nice even tho we were obviously feeling good. Plenty of parking on the street. Definitely would come back for another visit next time I'm in funky town.
