Working with Estate Services to transfer accounts following a death. They respond with an email saying a certain date but days past that date, they say that email was incorrect. Accurate info helps to keep customers happy.

Tina at the front desk was super helpful! I had been frustrated trying to get things done on line with my moms living trust account since she passed away. Tina jumped in to action and in less than an hour I had a new account set up, assets transferred & Tina also sent in a request for cost basis updates for me. Plus she drafted a letter for me to use once I have additional account information for the other beneficiary on my moms estate.

We have reached out to Schwab over a dozen times since we opened an account 2 months ago, as we somehow got a restriction put on our account even though we submitted all of the documents and did everything asked of us. We cannot reach anyone who can help us with our account being restricted. Constant redirects, holds, and hang ups - I am extremely displeased by my experience with Schwab and its employees, I have never gotten a call back and no one has reached out by email, message, phone call or otherwise to help get our account fixed. I expect much better from a financial institution - this is totally unacceptable. How many times do you want to contact your company before you can use it's services? Tonight I reached yet another associate who, while nice, could do nothing for my problem. He gave me yet another number to try, and recommended I send an internal message. I am hopeful, but if my prior experience has anything to show, this too will be futile, and I'll find myself contacting Schwab once again after waiting only to find no response to my queries and reaching no one who can actually help. If you value your time and want to do business with a company who values you as a customer, find a different investment company.

I recently had the same experience where they showed no interest in doing business. I was starting my retirement this year and was looking for a financial advisor. I left several messages for Greg Cella and on the general phone number requesting a call back. Over a period of 4 weeks I tried to contact someone at this office to make an appointment and I never heard from anyone at this location. If that is the service they provide customers, they should not be in the business of working with money.

Over 2 months ago I met with a Mr. Mefford at the Fort Worth office. I provided a summary of my assets and requested a proposal. I was told the next step was for a Mr. Greg Cella to review my portfolio and get back to me with a proposal. Some time went by and I reached out to Mr. Cella again. On September 6 he responded via email saying I would have the proposal the next day. It is now October 19 and I have nothing from Schwab. In the interim I attempted to reach Mr. Cella, without success. I then reached out to Mr. Mefford to express my concern and he assured me he would follow up. I have received no response. Finally, as weeks went by, I called the corporate number (I have been unable to even reach the main number in Fort Worth). After being placed on hold for 8 minutes while someone was 'looking into it', the call was dropped. Franky, this is not the kind of place you want to trust your hard earned life savings to.
