Located across from The Bass performance Hall, makes this the perfect spot to stay downtown. The service in the morning is more than great, they have ensured we have a great breakfast every time we've stayed. The front desk is welcoming and accommodating with everything we've needed each stay. Will be staying here again.

I arrived last night with my wife and two daughters at 10:20 pm. I made this reservation last November and stated that two adults and two children were coming. The room I selected indicated that it could accommodate 4 guests. I arrived to my room and I was greeted with only one King bed and no sofa bed or rollaway bed. I talked to the front desk and there were no other rooms or rollaway beds available and insisted that I had chosen a room with 1 king bed. Well, I have stayed in many hotels and this is the first one that did not provide options for accommodating the total number of guests the room advertised. One of my daughters had to sleep on the floor and today I will have to go and buy an air mattress so she can sleep better tonight. I am very disappointed and frustrated that I will have to pay for this unmemorable experience.

The hotel is very nice and clean. Great customer service. The air quality is poor, and the room goes from hot ? to cold . I should have brought a humidifier. Booked a king size room and when I arrived and got to my room, it was a queen size room. I called the front desk and was told that they didn't have to communicate to me if they have to make a change in my reservation and that they were out of king rooms. Was told a manager would call me the following day to adjust the price between a king and queen. Because of the commitments that we had that day, it was after midnight when we checked in so it was too late to look for another place to stay. We slept AWFUL, we are just not used to sleeping in a queen size bed. Also, the location is really noisy too, no soundproofing whatsoever.Since I never received a call back from the manager, I called to see if they had adjusted the price talked to "Gene" who said she was a supervisor and her words to me were that I "should be glad that they had a room for me." She also said that they would not be adjusting the price for me. The most TERRIBLE customer service I have encountered at a hotel. I understand that they sod out of king rooms, but someone should've communicated that and allowed me to make the decision on whether I wanted to move forward with the reservation Furthermore, I would've been nice if someone had actually been apologetic about the situation.

The room clearly had pets before us and wasn't vacuumed. Red stains on the walls. Poor water pressure in shower.Rooms: Needs some tlc.Walkability: So many choices for dinner. Close to shops.

This is usually my favorite hotel to stay at downtown. Some of the rooms are amazing and some are just really good. Some have floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city, some have a more historic feel with the textured tin ceilings and great street views, some only have a view of the cement courtyard so if you are looking for a view make sure you ask.I normally stay here for work so during the week it is great, if you are having to wake up early on the weekend you should be aware that there is a lot of activity outside so sometimes noise can be a problem. Great for if you are out and about participating in the festivities, not great if you are just trying to get some sleep.My biggest complaint for my last stay was that the windows are extremely dirty. Not sure if there was a recent dust storm or if it has just been too long since they have had the windows cleaned but I was staying on a mid-high level floor and there was so much dust on the windows that when the afternoon sun was shining through you could barely see out. In this hotel you are paying for the location, the cool and diverse types of rooms, the historic building and the view. The view is hurt by the dirty windows but overall it is still a great hotel with great service.

We checked in Sunday afternoon since attending the GMF parade. We patiently waited for an early check-in and were taken care of by Terek Campbell guest service agent. I was very impressed by his great attitude since there were some people being unpleasant to him since heaven forbid they had to be patient since several families trying to get rooms early as well. I highly commend his handling of the situation & hope upper management recognize his outstanding service in a challenging situation.

A group of 4 of us booked here for a room with 2 beds over 4 months in advance, and they double booked us. And how did they handle it? They downgraded us to a room with 1 bed, and didn't reimburse us. They promised they set us up with a cot. When we went back down to ask for the cot, they said they couldn't give it to us because it was a fire hazard. I asked them to do something about it and they said, and I quote "we'll give you an extra comforter so you can sleep on the floor." Long story short, they are extremely unaccomodating, and refuses to take responsibility for their mistakes.

Rooms and stay were nice but could've used a little more cleaning. Somethings in the room were not cleaned very well. A couple of things were found that were left behind from previous customer. HOWEVER, beware of the valet and make sure you check your car up and down before you leave. They take your car up in an elevator. My brand new car still with tags on it was damaged and they refuse to take responsibility! I took before pictures of the car but did not take any on the way out. I took a quick glance around the car while it was still in the parking garage and didn't really notice anything. As we were leaving we heard a few popping noises. Once I got to my destination we looked for the noise and in the day light we definitely noticed the damage to my car. We called them immediately and they are totally denying all damages. We are not looking to take anyones money, we just want them to fix what they damaged. SO please make sure you check your car, cause you are screwed if you don't. I will never stay at this location again. Someone there knows what happened!
